What's everyone's view on him

I am so happy with our team ATM, but really unsure on Walker tbh. I know he's young etc, but is he good enough atm for us?

At the moment he's doing ok... his pace has helped him a lot. I have seen signs of positional improvement but early days yet.

Against good wingers he'll be tested.

He has time on his side. Jury is still out for me, but he seems determined to improve.

He increasingly impresses me. Going forward he does very well, still needs a touch more composure when he gets in the box but so do most players. His extremely quick, good in the air, very strong, doesn't try to over complicate things. He stills needs to be a bit better defensively, but I think he is already better than Hutton and there is an assuredness about him already, he doesn't look like someone with only 6 months PL football under his belt. He looks like he has played at the top level for a couple of years already.

Even with Corluka fit I think he is going to be first choice, and without hyping him up too much (see Micah Richards) I think he can get that Right back position for England as well.

I think he has ALOT to learn defensively but having his pace to attack with gives the opposition something to think about.

Handled Saurez pretty well.

No problem with him.

Personally, in that team that played sunday for example, I think he was the weakest element.

I think his technique isn't great, he doesn't read some simple situations very well and this results in some bad defensive moments - some of which his pace recovers, but not all and it's still a worry - and he doesn't seem very composed on the ball at times.

Hearing Sloth's admonishment ringing in my ears, I must add that he's still a "learner" so time will tell, and I think if it's a choice between him and the intelligent but tortoise-like Corluka, or playing Kaboul at RB he's well worth a crack.

I think he's actually looked really promising so far. He does have alot to learn defensively, and I think we'll have to be patient with him. But if we are, then we will reap the benefits in the future.

He's certainty my first choice right back at the moment.

Read the first paragraph ad my fingers were already itching...

Your last paragraph sums up my opinion on him, although I think he's already a little bit better than you do.

Good enough to be given the benefit of the doubt and first team exposure, yeah

He'll make some fuck ups this year, for sure, but I think we should be prepared for that on the basis of his long term potential

Saw all the potential in him last year at Villa....can't believe some would choose dosy Corluka over him, he may be young....but believe me he is ready.

Ashley Cole but on the right?

Certainly has the potential and a run of games this year will do his confidence, skill and experience no harm at all.

Except when he nearly scored. And he didn't handle Enrique quite so well.

He got beaten by Enrique once, but spent most of the 90 minutes keeping him on the back foot so I don't think you're too accurate on that one BC.

Walker shows a lot of promise. He's a youngster so I'd expect him to be caught out a few times whilst he learns and matures. I seem to remember one Ledley King being found out a few times in his early career, Assou Ekotto too.
Yet another exciting young, quality player who will develop within our first team set up.

We do you feel the need to slag off a Spurs player as soon as a better prospect comes about?
I really don't understand this. The only thing missing from Charlie's game, really, is pace. Apart from that he has been excellent for us during his tenure.

I prefer Walker over Charlie. But not if lennon is playing in front of him. AL just stands there hugging the sideline until he gets in the way. I wish he would learn to move inside or make a run for a ball over the top. Johnson & lennon at the W.C. ended up standing beside each other half the time. Charlie suits AL better as he gives him the ball early giving Lennon time to turn and run his man, also if the ball is lost Charlie is not out of position.
