Watford are making some very clever signings, with Vydra rejoining, Capoue and potentially Stambouli and Perotti signing, if the players mesh even at this very early stage of the window, I'd be very surprised if they end up in the relegation fight at the end of the season.

They' got a really good keeper too.

Can we stop signing slow static holding midfielders now? Obviously doesn't work the way we play.

It's a good thing that's not his role in that case.

Shame it didn't work out. Had good pedigree, French international and I'll wish him well at Watford. He'll get a round of applause from me if he starts st the Lane.

No it wasnt his job to scout talent.
There's a thread explaining exactly what he does.
The planks ignore that and say it's all his fault.

I think if it hadn't of been for the involvement in our little Coup de' tait he would have been first choice ahead of both Mason and Bentaleb.

Why blame Baldini ? He's not the Messiah, he's just a very naughty boy.

But then one has to always look on the bright side of life.

Good news. Let's keep the conveyor belt of outward going crap motoring on. Just Chiriches, Kaboul, Adebayor, Stambouli, Soldado & Lennon, who are the main culprits, to be hastily escorted out the door & we can start seeing some light at the end of the tunnel.

Like to see Dembele shown the door based on his last few seasons performances, however if he can surprise the management then that would be a good thing. I can see it being a bit of toss-up between, which one of Carroll or Townsend being sold. Townsend has been very inconsistent & that's been reflected in the number of starts & appearances. Carroll is a good ball-player, however its a similar situation to Dembele as to whether he can affect games in a meaningful way.

Lets keep the restructuring going.
Spot on with your Dembele comments and I hope he will surprise the management and get his finger out and stay in the team. Spurs' do need a sprinkling of more experienced players in the mix along with the younger players

How do you know this?

I assume you're asking me.

Two reasons I hold this opinion.

Firstly, I think from a technical and physical perspective he is exactly the type of player who is very much suited to what Poch needed in a CM2. He is very capable as the holding player, he is good at bringing the ball out and has a reasonable range of passing.

Secondly, it seemed fairly clear that after the "incident" he wasn't going to get a look in at all despite making 12 appearances up to that point out of i think 20 in all competitions. Leads me to the belief that he was an important part of the team.

I was very happy when we signed Capoue, as he was one of the players on my 'wish list'.

In his first few games I thought he looked great, but it all went downhill after his injury, followed by Sherwood seemingly not knowing who he was.

It sounds like he had an attitude problem that kept him out of the team. For me, he's still clearly a good player, but for whatever reason he didn't fit in.

Will be interesting to see how he performs for them

He will surely get a lot of game time

A lot of people on here who had seen him in France really rated him and as a result I expected big things from him

What I've seen with my own eyes has suggested he really isn't good enough for the epl but now at Watford he may have greater opportunity to confirm or deny that belief

If he is as good as those who had seen him in France suggested he should by all rights be a star there and probably earn a bigger move in a season or so

Or he may continue to be the flop he was with us and fair no better than huddlestone and Livermore at Hull, sandro at rangers or palacious at Stoke

I'm not sorry to see him go because his spurs career seemed over and his departure frees space for an incoming signing or at least a promising youngster

Hi 'Locotro'; yes I was addressing you...it's this "incident" I am referring to. In your previous post you stated Capoue was involved in a "Coup de'tait" Did Capoue attempt lead some sort of dressing-room revolt or something?
