I trust the team. not panicking but we need to wrestle back control of the game and keep up the tempo until the end. time for the boys to show us what they're made of.

Other than the goal we haven't really been troubled, though haven't caused them too many problems ourselves. I think it will stay as it is.

TBH Dier needs to go back in to midfield, he has been poor at CB with the ball and there was miscommunication between the CB's before the goal, with vertonghen having a go

It's what happens when you switch formation in games 2/3 days apart. Strange decision.

Without wanting to be labelled as knee-jerk, at what point do we start questioning how we've gone from 90 minute battlers (last season) to giving away the lead in games the top teams would comfortably see out? Is it simply a case of fatigue from a lack of rotation?

I can't believe people are moaning about Delle Ali

WTF has this world come to?

It's the normal stuff when we don't lead.

"Walker would have got that"
"Why risk moussa" (obviously you will only see this after he got injured)
"Carroll is shit"
"Alli need a rest"
"We should never have played 3 cbs for this" (after we have kept them out for the entire match other than a fluke goal).

Welcome to the match thread!

I questioned the line up considering the array of talent on the bench and was moaned at. No surprise the starting XI have failed to deliver. It's one thing resting players but not taking out creativity and replacing it with an non offensive player. Son or even Chadli were the obvious Eriksen replacements.
They haven't failed to deliver though, we haven't necessarily been at our best but we have created good chances. We're 1-1 against a side in great form and there's still 45 minutes to go.

We can't go in to every half time leading 4-0. There are going to be matches like this.

It's the hyperbolic nature of the critism

I do believe he set up the first goal
Again, doesn't mean he hasn't been playing poorly. He has been quiet, to be expected after getting a yellow early on, but should've done better at the end of the half and IMO has been vey quiet and should be subbed off. He is only getting criticised cause of this match. If people were saying he is shit or moaning in general, than yeah it's unjustified. But for this match the moaning has been justified IMO.

Having an opinion is frowned upon.
There's a massive difference between having an actual thought out and sensible opinion and dressing a kneejerk rubbishism up like a posh salad and disguising it under the heading "opinion"

Having an opinion isn't frowned on but posting ill thought out, kneejerk bollocks might get a reaction. Massive, massive difference.

They have created one chance all game and that came from Dier tbf

Nothing much Dier could do about it. He was tight to the man as he should have been, and Ighalo had his back to him. Had he wrestled him too hard it would be a penalty. Ighalo got a lucky nutmeg as the ball came down. Really there should have been a second man to get the ball after it went through Diers legs.

The midfield just looks weak when Carroll plays. I'd love for him to make it but we're just a different side when we're in there.

Not sure about the 5-4-1 either.

Surprised that Son didn't start this game for Eriksen with the same 4-2-3-1.

Mason to come on early in the 2nd half. Still all to play for, decent half. We go again and get at them. Fancy Kane to grab something!
I'm sorry, but that just sounds far too positive for now. Could you possibly re-post in 10 minutes or so?

Just goes to show you how a couple of minutes can be so influential, potentially at least.

I really do feel a draw would be a decent result now but obviously would be over the moon with a win, but losing Dembele is a huge blow.

The formation has been fine, I'm not sure what the moaning is about. I think some people just don't like change or something different.
