He's a bit of a character! He wouldn't stay at one club and just kept on moving around, he had the talent but not the mentality to become a top player.

I thought this lad had a chance, so much so, in my younger, more foolish days, i brought the purple away shirt 03/04 with his name on! Rumours about some of his extra-curricular activities may have contributed to his fall from grace, or maybe he's just one of life's nomads? Remember the goal against Villa well

He certainly wasn't the worst but is a sign of how far we've come.
During the Graham era we played a lot of youngsters who blatantly weren't going to make it. Now we've got youngsters considerably better than Ricketts who'll almost never kick a ball for us.

Rohan Ricketts is an interesting guy. I upset him once by shouting sarcastic comments at him from the east stand during a friendly. I felt a bit guilty after that.
Anyway, he does provide an insight you don't get from many footballers about what it's like to be a professional in the modern game.
