Levy and the way he runs is the problem. :evy looks at Arsenal and sees how a new stadium boosted their revenue but they have managed to qualify for the Champions while selling their Stars.

I don't understand why people are canning the negative views of our transfer activity.

We've replaced Modric (who's gone to RM, one of the best clubs in the world and will hold is own) and VDV (who scored goals and was pure class) with Dembele (who i rate but come on his not anywhere close to Modric) and Dempsey (who will score goals but did we really need him when surely Sig was bought in as the same position).

how can anyone see this as being positive. I'm chuffed with Lloris and Verts who will be great for us. But it is the other end of the pitch that will determine whether we get CL and were not as strong as last year end of story.

i'm concerned!

When people say stuff like we've still got the rubbish/deadwood like Jenas/ Hudd/Livermore/Bentley what do they do do they steal your girlfriend, eat your burger?
Some of those players will get PL time others will get a chance to prove themselves in the cup.
Some we tried to shift but they failed medicals the like, we can't force other clubs to have them. Would these people be happier if we gave them away on frees and paid their wages?

The Moutinho deal is still alive...on a life support machine but still breathing, apparently!

You are a tool mate. You have no idea how a business is run. Whether you like it or not it is a business, your name says everything about your negative attitude.

Im not gonna say its levy or the scouts or the accountants but theres something rotten here... Smells like fucking arsenal. Take the money and not invest. Where the fuck is the investment... Where the fuck is it, for bloody years weve sold. So yeah, back to where we belong, scraping in the rest of the muck in the mid table.

But we haven't butchered the squad.

We have bought one of the finest keepers available. We have bought one of the best central defenders available. In Sig we get a player with better goals per minute ratio than VDV, and only 22, and capable of playing 90 minutes. In Dembele we get a player tracked by United, the 6th best passer in the league last year, and capable of playing a number of positions. In Dempsey we get a player who scored 17 goals last season....am I wrong in thinking that we have been lacking in the goals department lately?? In Ade we get, well Ade.

In King we lost a player who we knew was done. In Modric we lost a player who we knew was going. In VDV we lost a talented, creative player who couldn't manage 90 minutes which inevitably caused substitution problems and essentially automatically used up one of those subs each match he played.

We have not butchered the team, it will not be a trainwreck.

Your stats might be right, but to be fair do they really reflect what we needed and what we bought in?

Lloris is a good signing, I agree with that though there is a question about him physically with regards to the PL. Verthongen looks like a good footballer and I have high hopes for him, but whether he is a good defender only time will tell. You cannot take his record from Holland to qualify him as one of the best central defenders available, he needs time in the prem before an informed assessment can be made.

However I am far from convinced that Dembele, Dempsey and Siggurdson are players that are going to add balance to our squad and fit in to the way that AVB wants us to play. To be honest I would not have minded these three players if we have purchased a ball playing midfielder who could act as a pivot between defense and attack as I do not believe that we have a player of this type in the squad.

Look, Sigg had a good season at Swansea, but never settled in Hoffenheim and never played at the top level before that. Added to that is the fact that he has looked out of his depth for us (little game time admittedly) this season and this does not fill me with optimism.

Dembele is a good player with the ball at his feet but is he a replacement for Modric? Or does he play with a more attacking mentality? I am not sure if he really fits in to our midfield and I have always felt he is a player who looks goods but lacks substance and influence on games.

Dempsey again is a good player, but he was settled at Fulham, plus if anything he will be competing with Sigg in midfield more than anyone else.

I think that we have been left with a big gap where Modric once occupied. None of the above midfielders have the guile and dexterity to fill his position and I dont think any of them can naturally fill his position as two of them were adapted from other (attacking) positions and the Sigg is naturally more attacking.

In my mind, I think AVB wants a Ball Winner, Ball Player, and Creative Attacking Midfielder in our central midfield to ensure the balance between defense and attack. I see these three players only competing for the Creative Attacking Midfielder role as none of them are defensively good enough for the Ball Winner or Ball Player roles. (although I think we also have enough ball winners in the squad).

Not sure what you or others think? Maybe you disagree or maybe I am wrong about AVB or the players we have signed? Would be happy to debate further!

At the end of the day Levy is a joke and he does not know how to run a football club. Spurs once again have lost an important part of the team. Spurs have next to no creativity and we still got the rubbish like Jenas, Bentl;y and Livermore. Every time Spurs sell we do not replace.

Thats right, just conveniently ignore the news that we might actually still get Moutinho.
