I think Bale needs a couple of weeks rest. Hes only young and has played just about every game this season. A couple of weeks off will allow him to come back strong and fit.

People say this every week, but he's hardly being ran in to the ground at the moment. Okay, he was tiring by the Everton game after playing 4 in 10 days or so, but since then he had a 10 day break between Everton and the United game, and a 6 day break between United and Newcastle. His crossing has gone downhill recently, but he certainly isn't dipping in form.

Yeah he doesn't need rest. I train harder more frequently than professional footballers and I don't complain.
No professional athlete this far into a season should need rest, if they do we need to look at our coaching and fitness staff.

We should play him as often as possible in case his species dies out anytime soon :shifty:

Bale says "I luv it at spurs I get to play every week, thats ALL I want"

Harry says "Ok Bale my young, fit boyo take a few weeks off and head back to Wales and play your PS3 Pienaar is taking your place"

If he is fit, not wanting a rest Bale will play.

Why does Bale need a rest?

I don't understand why this comes up more lately...people expect to see the level of performance from Bale as against Inter Milan week in/out.

Get a grip.

I'd definitely play him. St James' Park has a nice big pitch and he will be vital for exploiting space.

I wouldnt change much. The players have had a good break.

Ludicrous!! Why does a footballer who is an athlete need a rest when he has just been off with a back injury for 2 weeks?

Maybe not for the rest but Bales form over the last couple of games, even more, haven't been great. Nothing wrong with popping him on the bench get a bit of his sharpness back.

He wasted quite a lot of decent situations against Man United.
