Not a head injury, so no obligation for the game to be stopped or held up. If he's getting treatment then he is supposed to go off for that, and the substitution should wait until the penalty has been taken.

If Wigan some how hold on to this and Arsenal have another season without silverware (and potential no CL football) it would actually make up for our shitbox season

Seeing them lose this game would maybe trump the Barca CL final and the Martins winner for Birmingham

Ok probably not the Barca game - but considering how certain Gooner fans have been that the FA cup is there's since City lost a Wigaan win here would be pretty fecking sweet

The game was stopped for the penalty, the player was given immediate treatment. The referee was 100% correct
