Unless we have an option.... only 2 years to go on his contract after this season... and Evra's no spring chicken.

Sorry to be a party pooper :-(

when he signed and then through his excellent first spell and even during his troubled games since the injuries and now right up to this good form i've maintained what a talent. I have a mate who was at southampton at the same time as Bale and he said he's never seen a LB control a game of football like that. in training or in the first team he run the show for SOuthampton at 17yrs old. When i got the tip off that he'd chosen us over UTD i was told to expect amazing things from him.

I did expect and i still do.

As a fellow Welshman, I am delighted for Bale. He is def the best looking monkey head player out there.

The last time I saw anyone do that much running, he had a German passport and a penchant for acting innocent after raking studs down Gooners hamstrings.

Yep. He also looked world class when played on the wing for Wales on a couple of occasions.

He had a spell where he was scared in the tackle because previously he had taken 2 nasty stomps on his instep, breaking some bones etc. It looks like he is past that mental barrier now.

that's right gibbs - for a while it looked like those injuries had stalled his career, perhaps for ever, but it looks like he's back and ready now

we'll know a lot more after brum

Well pleased with his performances since he's been back in and his defending seems to have improved too. Will be interesting to see what HR does when Benny's fit again.

I think benny will come back into the team when Lennon is fit - We need Bale's pace (we need a proper winger in the team, and he is the closest we have at the moment), but sorry BAE still is a better defender, bale was turned a few times last night, and better strikers would have punished him. so I think Harry will boot him back to the bench when the two first choices are fit again!

This was the first game he has won when starting in the premiership.

The curse has changes a few times when he has won in cups or as subs.
The new curse will be 'we have never won an away game in the league on a sunday when Bale has started'
