I simply think Harry wanted to rotate the squad and thought we had good enough players to beat Norwich in a 4-4-2. Kind of the same attitude he has in some cup matches. Where he just cobbles a team together and expects them to win with what seems like no tactical instructions.
This is it. To simplify it even further, I think he played 442 merely in order to give Defoe a game, as he couldn't think of any other way to shoehorn him in.
Harry has his favourites and he's always seemed too afraid of upsetting them. Defoe may have been unhappy about not starting yesterday, but that's just tough shit. Got to think about the team here.
