Because I'm interested to see if you hold your view because you live close.
Oh fair enough.

I live south of the river so to get to White Hart Lane it usually takes me about an hour and half to hour and three quarters, door to door.

I never leave early and it takes me a good 3 hours minimum out of London on the train. It does mean that some Sunday/midweek matches I have to pass on to someone to use because of work though...

I really do not understand why people leave 5 minutes early at a game just to get home or get the first train or whatever, if i pay full price for a ticket you can bet your bottom dollar i'm staying until the end.

If getting home is such an issue watch it on TV.
A bit harsh IMO, but I'd personally never leave a match early. But that's because I learnt my lesson early, as the first football match I went to was the first England match at the New Wembley (England 1-1 Brazil), where Diego scored for Brazil in the last minute.

I live North of Bristol. Last train to nearest train station is 22:15 from paddington and gets in at 1:30am. Miss that and I can get an 23:30 to Bristol centre and a £40 30min taxi journey home getting in at 2:30am.

Point it Spurs fans live far and wide and we all have lives so for some of us the decisions isn't always that simple. That extra 5 mins could mean a night sleeping on the platform or a very late night for a midweek match.

Does anyone know what the station is like after a match at Wembley? Should I be prepared to have to wait 1 or 2 trains before actually being able to get on one?

Platforms aren't what they were mate, lots of money has been poured into the transport system, bring yourself a blanket or sleeping bag and if you're lucky the waiting room may even still be open ;)

How often do u go mate?
I try andd go as often as possible. I managed to get down to 6 or 7 last season, the lowest point being the Newcastle loss but also got up to City away which was immense and without a doubt the best game ive ever experienced, the fans were superb that day.

That's probably it, It's more of a novelty for u so u try to get your money's worth, I'd probably feel the same if I only went every once in a while.

I'll be staying til the final whistle and applaud the players off depending on result. Gotta get a train back but f it. Champions League at Wembley is worth it.

I very rarely leave before the final whistle but as I travel in from Milton Keynes I totally understand those who do on midweek games. I'm dreading waking up on Thursday almost as much I'm looking forward to Wednesday night because it will be a late one for me.

I remember however when we lost in the league cup final in 2015 I left just before full time because I didn't want to see Chelsea and their fans celebrating. I was shocked and a bit disgusted to see Chelsea fans also leaving at the same time as me. Their team was about to win a trophy and they weren't interested in staying to see the presentation??!! Now that is shitty, even by their fans' pretty abysmal standards!

In the past I've managed to get back via Wembley Central without having to wait long, and that included after watching Team GB play in the Olympics when everyone would have been leaving at the same time (so similar to what we should experience on Wednesday).

I'm travelling in from MK but am driving down to Stanmore then tube into Wembley Park station. Taking my son so has school in morning and think that will be quicker than train all the way
