Given we have to move away for one season whilst the new stadium is built the significant majority of fans want Wembley as a one season home rather than Milton Keynes.

Let's presume for a moment that Wembley would be our home for that season.

Let's also presume that for that one season the away clubs are allowed to take up a greater allocation than we currently allow so as to fill more seats.

What attendances (with associated income) would we expect ? Given also that we are expecting to fill a near 60k at the new Lane under current allocations.

Vs le Arse. 90000
Vs Chavs. 90000
Vs. Manure 90000
Vs. Citeh. 90000 ?
Vs Wet Spam. 90000 ?
Vs. Bindippers. 90000 ?
Vs Villa. 70000 ?
Vs. Toon. 70000 ?
Vs Black Cats. 70000 ?
Vs Palace. 70000 ?
Vs. Everton. 70000. ?
All others 60000

As well greater corporate income ?

MK holds 30500.

Wembley for all home games may be fantasy but does this exercise display the kind of income potential less the cost of using Wembley that would boost our coffers ?

Is Wembley itself a draw to away fans once per season (many would rarely get to go there otherwise) ?

Thoughts ?

Wembley has a limit of 38? Events every year at full capacity. Enforced by Brent council. It's though that this doesn't apply if you only use the bottom and middle tier. That's still just under 50k though.

The problem with Wembley would then be getting a fair share of full capacity matches, able to be scheduled when we need it (we know how much it changes due to Europa) and not based around when there putting on a concert etc.

Don't think we'd get 90k and 70k for pretty much all of those you've suggested in the OP except for Arsenal however if we was playing well and flying high near the top of the league then who knows, if we are languishing below 6th I can't see it. Regardless as mentioned capacity is limited to around 40 to 50k. Increasing away support will not help Tottenham at all and I'd rather that kept to the Premier League standard 3,000. You can guarantee the FA would not be a cheap option for Tottenham or a simple option as otherwise I doubt we would be considering MK Dons at all but I guess what other options are there? The only other option would be the Olympic Stadium but I just can't see a deal being done for a season there after our unsuccessful attempt at trying to move there before.

I think we will struggle filling 56k week in week out. Even now barring the top 5 matches every game goes to general sale.

The biggest rubbish that gets banded about is it won't be a problem as we have 23k on the season ticket list which is not the full picture. If you buy bronze membership you are automatically put on the list and I'm sure many people like myself do that to get priority tickets on occasions as I can't afford a season ticket. I am currently 1500 on the season ticket waiting list which is irrelevant as I won't buy one and I'm sure there will be a large percentage of the 23k who are in the same boat.

Allow larger away allocations.

Manure would put 90k in without anyone from Tottenham attending.

Some optimistic figures there. 60,000 to watch us play watford or stoke for a 5 to 7th place finish? I can't see that happening to be fair.

I don't see Wembley as a realistic option.

We are going to Milton Keynes for a year folks, accept it.

It's shit, but it obviously makes the most sense.

It's when I hear we are going to lose our identity if we move to Milton Keynes for one season....really? Just who are these people saying this as to me makes no sense.

I'd much rather see us play at a full Stadium Mk than a half full Wembley. Much better atmosphere. Watching games in giant stadiums when half the seats are empty feels sad and oddly soulless.

It would be nice to have 21 home games there. I'm counting both Cup Finals.
