I'll be happy anywhere as long as it is only for the one season. I have a feeling it will be 2, the latest statement from the club said 'at least one season' which to me means they are preparing us for a longer build.

I'm not going to see 1 match at MK. Simple as that. If we move there, I'll rather plan 1-2 events in my holiday calendar around away matches in Europa League, and/or go to away matches in PL. Southampton, various London clubs & Cardiff if promoted again would suit me fine. The away support is splendid anyway.

I think we will struggle filling 56k week in week out. Even now barring the top 5 matches every game goes to general sale.

The biggest rubbish that gets banded about is it won't be a problem as we have 23k on the season ticket list which is not the full picture. If you buy bronze membership you are automatically put on the list and I'm sure many people like myself do that to get priority tickets on occasions as I can't afford a season ticket. I am currently 1500 on the season ticket waiting list which is irrelevant as I won't buy one and I'm sure there will be a large percentage of the 23k who are in the same boat.
Some optimistic figures there. 60,000 to watch us play watford or stoke for a 5 to 7th place finish? I can't see that happening to be fair.
New stadium will have alot of hospitality seats

At the moment we have
23.5k season ticket holders
3k away fans
Now possible 4-5k seats for hospitality
Possible 5k for general sale likely less

In the new stadium it will almost certainly be
10-12k hospitality
3k away fans
35k season tickets
10-12k general sale

Now we can sell the tickets for shite games at lower prices as the money will be made from hospitality not general sale

Also worth noting FA cup away allocation increases to 15% so 9k away fans which will mean we have to sell up to 6k seats

Selling seats wont be an issue especially with the amount of tourist fans in london. A major issue why its hard to sell tickets at the moment is because they are single ticket sales only dotted about the stadium

We could sell out Wembley three times over if we played West Ham there - they don't get many chances to go there outside of Championship play offs and every West Ham fan in the world would want to go and see them play Spurs at Wembley - it's their ultimate dream.

So wait, we are building a new stadium to cater to tourists & hospitality? Is that a recipe for building atmosphere & support?

Scum and Man U we'd definitely fill it pretty much however badly we were playing. The rest I'm not so sure about if weren't ripping up trees!

We were always building a stadium for hospitality, its the main reason why stadiums have a short lifespan these days

As for tourists, for lesser matches where loyalty points aren't an issue, we will get alot of tourist fans most likely

What am I missing? That Wembley would be a big draw for away fans? I can't see any reason as to why we'd want to give any team more tickets than we have to. Why give the scum 15k when we can give them 3k?

Income.

i feel like either i'm way out of touch or everyone else is. this idea that spurs can get 60k-90k allocations is pretty fanciful in my mind, it's an absolute doddle to get spurs tickets nowadays and this is in a 36k stadium, where are the extra 25k+ fans coming from? we barely scrape 25k in europa and early round cup games. we have a diminishing fanbase, we're small fry compared to our red and blue london neighbours. the current generation of kids support those two teams, not spurs, it's sad but it's true. look on twitter, spurs 1m followers, arsenal and chelsea over 5m. that's not a totally accurate barometer but it's fairly reflective of where the clubs are at currently. renting wembley would be terrible, a giant half empty red bowl and having to give away fans more tickets just to save face.

I can't be bothered to travel 7 hours for a return train trip across England in one day, and I can't be bothered to pay for a hotel unless it's a place I want to see. If I'm going to invest that kind of travel cost and travel time, it's more worth it to me to do it for a trip to an even remotely interesting town in Europe. Hence, I'd rather save up the money it would have cost me to go to MK, and go to Basel, Brugge or Bilbao. And if I want an easy day out for a PL match, that can be arranged more comfortably.
