Just been offered a season ticket upgrade, very exciting but at the worst possible time being down to one household salary as my wife is raising our son.

A good mate of mine is looking to give me a bulk of the fee to go to the majority of the games for the next couple of seasons, until the wife gets back to work and I can take it back on.

Is there anything in the current system that would stop this working, like ID checks or something? I don't feel like it's too unfair on others as I've been paying my bronze fee for many years now, and my intention was always to take it on myself.

Officially Season Tickets are (and always have been) non-transferable, but to my knowledge they've never checked the attendee is the same person as the name on the ticket. Also, I believe Wembley is even less personal, with automated gates on much of the ground. It's just a swipe and walk through arrangement.

Thanks, looking at the terms it looks quite serious, but I'm sure it goes on a lot with family sharing etc... It's not like I'm trying to make a profit or giving access to someone who isn't a genuine fan or someone I can't vouch for personally. Just seems to want to avoid touting/scalping which is understandable.

You mean the bloke with the dreads from the Park Lane will not be touching me up before I go in? Fuck that I'll stay at home then.

Yeah, I mean, I've borrowed STs before I had one the first time and lent mine out a couple of times with no issues...

Don't think you'll avoid the mandatory security grope wherever you go! Just the little bod taking your card/ticket and scanning it is replaced by a device on the wall.

Thank god for that. It's the only reason I go.

Do you know if you can specify what seat you want? Or do you choose a block and it then randomly assigns you a seat?

Me and my dad had a ST each for the last ten years roughly and when he moved abroad he gave access to me (I pay for both now) but the account is still in his name.

Over the last 4-5 years I take either friends or family with me, and never once have they checked our names. That includes my other half using one with my Dad's name. And no problems at Wembley for the European games last season or previous cup matches. And on occasion I can't make it, I give both tickets to family. No probs ever.

You can on a PC for sure. I think when I tried on my iPhone the pop-up seat selecter thingy wasn't compatible, so I could only pick what was the first seat available in the block).

Afternoon all, I know this question doesn't belong in this thread but would like to hear your views/advice. I'm a night worker who is unable to get to many games due to shift patterns but was wondering if on a rare Saturday I'm able to get to Wembley, will tickets be on sale? (due to increased capacity). If so where?

Your advice will be appreciated,

Many Thanks

There will definitely be tickets available to members, but for the more popular matches especially they may sell out weeks in advance. Most of them will be in the upper tier, but there should be some elsewhere too.

I'm not fussed what game i get to see, just wanna see them. I'm hoping there will be some in the gods on a 'less glamorous' game.

If you can book up a bit in advance there certainly will be. Closer to the game, it probably depends on how well we're doing.
