"He has great qualities and he will make a great career. But once a player is at Spurs you don't even consider him any more."

A subtle attempt to put people off signing for us or just honest to goodness tribalism?

He complimented Kane, the other stuff is standard procedure given the rivalry.

Just saying he is a good player but he is off the radar for them because he plays for their rivals. Nothing more than that.

And he's not a greedy money grabbing scumbag.
I guess some soppy hack asked him if he would like to sign Kane.

Worked with Campbell

Yeah but the Arse were really good back then and we were awful. Now we're alright and they are quite good. Their level has dropped and ours has lifted. I wouldn't worry about Campbell repeats until they become genuinely good again...Which looks unlikely under Wenger.

He was also free, and we had no choice.

I assume he means we wouldn't deal with them

The thing is Campbell went looking, not the other way around

How many years has Arsey Weener spent in London and yet he still make those typically French grammatical mistakes.
It's 'have' not 'make' a great career. Go to the back of the class!

To be fair, there are shit loads of English people who stupidly say "should of" and "would of" instead of "should have" and "would have".

God that winds me up!

As for the Wenger quote, I don't know why it's winding some people up, I quite like it.
