Their "I am guilty for the crisis" thread is pretty cute.

Reminds me of a time when we were absolute gash too!

Best quote of the thread was "
I spent the night before at Chelsea and that was even worse".

"The best thing about the game was the march of (from) the Underground to the stadium".

Typical Germans, some things never change.

Must say all our European visitors have been great on the walk. Ariving in big numbers and singing all the way up the road. It has been a different atmosphere and has provided lots of friendly banter

I'm always on other forums too, sometimes posting as a regular. It's always good to see rivals opinions on their own players, opposition players and who they think is a threat.

I'm on redcafe, kumb, bluemoon, shedend, goonerweb, YNWA , some stoke one and a Villa one i forget the name of.

Kumb and bluemoon seem the most bitter, especially the latter most recently. Kumb members are actually starting to appreciate how Spurs play lol

I check Villa talk from time to time to see what they are thinking.

The spurs redknobb hate fest thread is now 300+pages. Clearly they think about us alot!

Yep they hate him. I think they've hated him way before Spurs, I think he called their fans disgusting or something. They were singing songs to him while he was at Pompey.

Fans are amusing though they can call managers/players all the names they want, but if you do it back they cry lol

I only read the end of the match thread

"Who said English fans were quiet?"

And on a youtube comment "Best fans in europe"

Shame we can't be more consistent in making noise, then we'd be amazing

It's something to do with the accusations that were raised about Redknapp's transfer dealings and that investigation that went on a few years ago.

Villa were the first team Redknapp's Portsmouth faced after the news broke, cue the Villa fans chanting, "You're gonna get raped in the showers" and other such stuff.

Redknapp gave them the V sign and said they were despicable in an interview afterwards. Since then, he's a bigger hate figure than Adolf Hitler for Villa fans. I know this, I live by dozens of them.

Their Spurs thread on VillaTalk is quite hilarious though. Recently, they've been talking about how Downing and Albrighton are both more effective players than Gareth Bale. No, I'm not making this up. The football world has a huge boner for Gareth Bale at the moment, but Villa fans reckon their two wingers are the better players.

It's true, for a big game the atmosphere is amazing and intense but the rest of the time it's pretty much a library unless we score (aside from the occasional stand up if you hate Arsenal from the park lane end)

I honestly think the midweek games benefit from extra prematch drinking time, more drunk/merry fans = more noise

Definitely, I've said that a few times before, which is why I think we're unfairly penalised by police when we have to play at 12:45pm.

Even in big games we can have prolonged spells of silence, which is a pity. The only game that I've been to/seen where the fans made non-stop noise was the Sevilla game a few years back. I don't expect non-stop chanting but when it goes 5 minutes without noise it's disappointing, as it is when chants seem to peter out for no reason
