Tottenham , Tottenham , noone can stop them
we're gonna do it like we did last year !

I've just had that feeling again .
Our guys are gonna be focussed and do it in ordinary time .

Unlike Chelsea who gave up last year Utd are gonna play to the whistle but it won't help them .

So Spurs fans , feel the power pulsating through your bodies and direct it at the pitch .

I don't remember CFC giving up - i remember quite a rearguard action by us and them steaming forward in the very last seconds

the whistle went just before they hit a post

we played really well last year - but still needed that crucial break with the pen - most times that wouldn't be given - the ref didn't give it - the lino nearly didn't - then in a moment of real bravery (for us) the fatal flag went across his body

we'll need to match last year's performance and get some breaks like that and the rebound winner tat woody knew little about

it can be done

but favourites normally win two horse races - to upset the odds two years in a row would be a fantastic achievement

This is not a time for rationality, this is a time for blind optimism, faith, belief and intent.

Striebs I'm with you all the way, I feel the power and so do the rest of the Spurs fans and we WILL prevail tomorrow.

DC Boy hang your head in shame.....

:) steve - rationality is a key part of my life philosophy - it's why I like the scientific world view approach

of course supporting a team is irrational in many ways - and Spurs is the closest thing I have to religion - but I try to keep my good judgement and insight as much as possible

of course I fail in this every so often :)

PS rewriting history (IMHO) re CFC giving up last season is something that doesn't compute with me :), malfunction malfunction malfunction error message

great post mate, summed it up really realistically and fairly.

no-one has given us half a chance, all my newcastle and villa etc mates have said that united are gonna run over us, and we should have focused on the uefa cup because we wont win it in a million years. Really made my blood boil, the same things were said last year...and we did it.

To consider we have a 0-0 draw and a narrow 2-1 defeat agaist Man U shows our lads are up for the big games, and it wont get bigger than this for us this season.

Frankly the biggest factor will be luck, we got a slight rub of the green last year with our 2 goals, but we always played attacking and kept going so we deserved it.....fortune favours the brave (Pleat, 2008!)

Call me crazy but I think if Tevez and Rooney play we can keep them out, Id be pretty worried if Berbatov or Ronaldo play.

Im gonna be cheering the lads on...I think a early UTD goal could kill the game...the longer it stays 0-0 the better for us.

For some reason the 1995 FA cup final keeps on popping into my head....the unfancied Everton shocking the country with Paul Rideout's solitary goal on the 30th min. Nobody gave Everton a hope, and they did it (and ahem...spanked us in the semi final aswell!)

On any given day any team can beat any team..a sensible bet would be on Man U...but its a funny old game!

The top 4 teams all recognise that we raise our game against them, they dont like playing us so I've been told. Yet, none of them are giving us a look in tomorrow. But its no different tomorrow, and I reckon our fans will be the noisier of the two sets, like last season. It will raise the spirits of the team. Harry knows what we have to do.

United fans will let on that they dont care, but watch their faces when Pavlyuchenko sets up Modric in the dying moments to seal the win!!!

we won last year because i felt we wanted it more than they did (as did our fans). We also had a few good breaks.

If we want it more and if 8 or 9 of our players are on the top of their game we can do it. But 8 or 9 top class performances are the minimum required.

This feels like the reverse of of the 87 final where the players and the fans showed up waiting for the parade. Hopefully Man Yoo will be equally complacent, but under Fergie they dont really do complacent do they.

Sure it was a rearguard action against Chelsea but they did give up , albeit with only 5 minutes to go .

Yep , our guys are gonna really have to bust a gut , dare I say it like West Ham did in the F.A. Cup back in 1980 .

They will all have to be Hero's tommorow ....

For such an adament spurs fan its worrying you dont know Wilson wont be scoring his first goal tommorow, he's ineligible.

Dare I predict Zokora's first goal?

Who the fuck am I kidding?

well we're gonna have to disagree on that one :) - as I say the last action saw them streaming forwards - and they were apoplectic when the ref blew mid-attack - didn't look like the actions of players who had given up

 Drinking is not the best preparation for these quips as in my rallying fervor I forgot he was cup tied,.... so fuq it. Make it Zokora's first then. I'm still going with 2-1 Spurs. Ole!!

In a parallel to last years final, wasn't that Woody's first for Spurs? Could be a trend?...
