Your logic is impeccable. I just hope you are correct and lightening does strike twice. In fact, letting VDV and doing the right thing by the human being and not just viewing him as a player might have been short-term pain for long-term gain if old Rafa has been in Wes's ear about us.

As for the bolded part - I did not know that. Or I'd forgotten all about it if I did know it. Is it really that bad, so bad it might actually prevent Sneijder thinking of Yanited as a realistic club to join? I only ask because I think the one other club who would seriously think about going for him other than u is those Manc bastards.

it'd be absolutely wonderful if this was the case. I hope you're on the right tack here misfit. (y)

Yeah most people thought our euro campagin went wrong because you had Camp Sneijder (ex ajax players, heitinga, vdv, vd wiel and some others) with Camp RVP (afellay, v bommel and some other players boulahrouz whatever) anyway... this was "the reason" that "it all went wrong" so v gaal the new managers first job was to create a group again and clear the air between the (fictional or unfictional dunno) "camps" in the squad...

Please make this happen. Everything about this move seems to make sense, except that it's Spurs and we never pull off these sorts of deals! Of course Rafa will be even more of a legend if this deal comes through thanks to his advice.
So "if" this happens. Who's moving on? Sig? Dempsey?
Dempsey. Loan him to the scousers for an exorbitant fee. Sig can still come good and is relatively young.

I Agree.. and besides.. what other team should he really join? lets say its very likely to almost certain he will go to the premier league then the options would be:
Liverpool - lol, mid table side... wont be recovering any time soon.
Arsenal - not their policy, no way.
Chelsea - replacing lampard and under an owner who buys buys buys... giving you an uncertain future from the day that you start really... again after real and inter? no thank you
Manchester City - Same as chelsea really... look at how many strikers they had the last years... and he's not the star player there... just one of the superstars... too much of a galactico situation again... that went wrong... why choose for it again?
Man United - and competing with rooney for position in his home country while fighting with van persie on the training ground (its a public secret they dont like eachother) nope.
Tottenham Hotspur - Coming in a team with no superstars really, maybe Gareth Bale but he isnt a big ego man and not pelutant or anything like that afaik. Become almost an instant legend with shirt sales going through the roof from the moment you sign and show the world one last time what you are capable of before taking off to take some really big cash elsewhere. Maybe a club like LA Galaxy so his wife can persue her acting career, all this after putting spurs on the map as one of europe's greatest teams.

I know what i would've done.
what you've said all makes perfect sense, He's been Madrid and experienced what happens there regardless of quality and he's seen what happened with VDV. At Spurs he'd be the man main and at his age that's what he needs. I can see why he'd come, but whether the financial renumerations are up to scratch is another matter

Me too. It's a bit "It's A Wonderful Life" but who knows. These are people just like us after all. They might be in a completely crazy bubble but they have feelings and wants and not every player out there has the morals and soul of Ashley Cole.

I think a really possitive factor could be that Sniejder has fallen out with the Inter Chairman/manager, and if its true that he has agreed terms with us, we could get him at a decent price. To ellaborate, I mean if Sniejder says to Inter "I want to play for Spurs" the ball is firmly in our court, but i would expect negotiations to drag on awhile, like with Verts.

There has been a dutch attacking midfielder that moved from inter to london btw... was rather strange at that time too but i guess everyone here knows what happend... keep up the spirit. Spurs can offer Sneijder things big money clubs cant and i think like i said after real madrid and now this bollocks with inter he might actually prefer a club where he REALLY feels appreciated... Spurs can be that club... city can't

Hope you run our club instead of Levy.

So..Wesley...When are you going to reveal that it's actually you? Is it a coincidence that you've just joined last Sunday to test your popularity amongst the yids here? What's next a query about how many of us wants WS to join the club? :sneaky:

PS. I'd buy your shirt for sure..

This "fued" between rvp and sneijder started at the world cup...

http://www.smh.com.au/world-cup-201...h-camp-after-sneijder-slur-20100630-zjme.html

here's an english article about it... you can find lots of info if you search camp sneijder camp van persie on google...

if you write camp as kamp its dutch and then you can translate if you like... anyway... i believe they pretty much hate each other
TBF mate I'm not searching the word 'camp' and anything on the internet lol

My Klinsmann moment. Forget every other player we've signed, including Rafa. This would be different class.

For the record though I think it's Xmas baubles!

Don't know about the credibility of sources but some are saying that it was between us and PSG and he rejected them? If that's true then it's a good sign that he's not totally persuaded by money giving us more of a chance.

That aside, if he does sign, I think he'd love it at Tottenham. A club with a fantastic attacking tradition. If Levy pulls this one off for under £10m then I take back anything negative I've ever said about the man.
