Could be worse. We could be ground sharing with Millwall.

I also realise i'm overdoing the fear thing - but i'm sorry i'm genuinely frightened for the well being of the club if we ground share

There are definitely huge issues about groundsharing with West Ham.

I agree with Stoof about Upton Park: as well as being shite, it's surrounded by Spammers' boozers, and that's a permanent fact of life.

And as a little footnote, can you imagine the police costs if 40,000 Spurs fans are going to be marching towards Upton Park every other Saturday and Wednesday?

Great news if true, it means we are staying at WHL and for me personally that is the most important thing. I'd much rather we knock the old girl down in one go and re build, much quicker and financially much more sensible for the club.

DC me old mucca do calm down this is the best way for us to go, it does mean a ground share with the spammers or whoever else, but so what. Realistically our home match at the Boleyn with 30,000 plus Spurs supporters will be fine, I really can't see too many spammers hanging around, most of them don't live in the area anyway and their pubs will probably be closed, just a matter of us coming in and getting out of that dump asap, police will have it well handled.

Arriving at the stadium every week would be like the opening Gangs of New York

:) N10 - yep it's double cocoa with valium for me tonight -
actually it's not so much the sharing with West Ham (though that is worrying in itself) - but the sheer vulnerability of being a 'homeless club' if our contract with West Ham or whoever has run out, but our ground's not finished and passed its safety tests etc

- yes you can put all sorts of stuff in contracts to cover yourself in case of overruns - but it's still playing on me nerves I tells ya :)

DC stay off the valium. :) We won't be left high and dry if the building works overun as whoever we are sharing with will receive more dosh from us for staying on. As I said before, we'll save alot of money by knocking out WHL in one hit. I know alot of people are going to hype this up and that the east end will be flowing with blood, but hype is all it is, it's not the 80's anymore. Ground sharing with the spammers back then, now that's scary!!!

I think that some people are missing the point. I'm pretty sure they are talking about a continuous ground-share (well they are on KUMB anyway...)

I reckon we should relocate,we won't have the ground sharing issue and hopefully there will be far less transport problems.
In all honesty, our luck has been pretty shit at the Lane in the last few years and at times I think the place is cursed because our luck really is that bad.
A fresh start would be better for all of us!

Wembley's licence only allows for a certain number of events in a year, which with their current obligations means we wouldn't be able to play all our home games there. We might be able to have a select few games there each season but I wonder if it is better to just use one ground rather than two different ones in a season.

According to Wembley, they can hold up to 37 events per year.

According to the BBC, there can be up to 19 'soccer' games there per year. That includes internationals, Carling and FA Cup finals (also FA Cup semis?) and play-off finals.

So not many left after that for ordinary PL games.

I heard that they eat their young. I would not like to visit that place.

There is no chance of the pubs being closed on match days, would you close your pub to 35000 potential customers?

What about the pubs and business's around the Lane that survive because of match days? can't see the Bell n Hare, the Bill Nick, the Bricklayers etc etc surviving with no match day business for 2 to 3 years.

On a side note what an event it will be when we are at home to West Ham at Upton Park, carnage me thinks.

It's an option BUT I wouldn't panic yet because it's not THE only option. There's a strong possibility we will relocate as close as a few hundred yards away, also there's a site apparently about a mile away...I'm not sure we'll end up ground-sharing at all myself.

if we want to stay at WHL then we have to go and share somewhere else for aseaon or two at least, would hope for a deent sized stadium, Wembly will always be a no go, as BOF has pointed out with the amount of games they are alowed to hold each year, Arsenal and then Westham would probably be the next choices, cant see us going near chelsea

You can kiss my ticket bye-bye.

I've said this before, there will be a death over this if we ground share with West Ham.

so we move away from WHL or just dont increase WHL, what is the answer?

and there will be alot of people still willing to take the ticket off you, dont care where spurs play, i shall still follow them!

arsenal would be the first choice i think, just because of the size, but can see it being hard to get them to accept, might have to settle for a smaller club and ground like west ham
