What if they don't want us?

Levy has got to get real, ground sharing with West Ham will be an absolute nightmare due to trouble every other week.

It's a non-starter IMO.

He needs to dig deep in his (our) pockets and sweeten up Hill-Wood. It'll cost a lot more money but will be worth it.

I do agree that sharing with the Spammers is asking for trouble of the physical kind, however I just can't see the Gooners letting us share there.

And if they dont (regardless of how deep Levy digs) and we are to develop the Lane then I see us having little choice.

the only other option I can think of is Charlton, although slightly smaller it would certainly be less volatile and isn't that far away from the Spammers and is as easy to get to.

We have no chance ground sharing with Arsenal as they have a similar deal with Islington, what Wembley have with Brent; and thats an limited 'x' amount of games at their ground per year.

Good idea!

"We are Tottenham. We are Tottenham, super Tottenham, from Ireland. We are Tottenham. Super Tottenham, we are Tottenham, Ireland".

I can see an option here for getting into CL via qualifiers, might not be a bad thing !

I doubt there'd be much trouble but maybe it's worse than I though. Seriously though, any hardcore WH fan is going to be in another part of the country when it'd be our turn to play there.

We don't necassarily we have to ground share with just one club If we have to leave WHL for a year, we could play some games at Wembley, some games at West Ham and some games the Emirates. For bigger games we could move to the bigger stadiums. Upton Park is fine for playing the likes of Reading, but when we play Utd etc, we could sell over 60,000 tickets at Wembley. Because of the restrictions we can't play every game at Wembley, but that doesn't mean we can't use it a few times. Arsenal, Utd Chelsea at Wembley; Liverpool, Newcastle, Wham at the Emirates and the rest at Upton Park. There was talk of a Prem game being played in the US. I don't know if that is feasable for us, but we could certainly play the first competitive Prem game outside of the UK. We could play a game in Dublin. If Keano is still with us and the Irish captain it would be big event over there.

I share DC's fear of sharing with the Spammers. It reeks of trouble.

Now, unless I'm vastly mistaken, don't Spurs fans frequent the pubs around the club on away days? If that's true of West Ham fans too, at our home games, we would have pubs around the stadium full of West Ham fans. If we win a 'home' game, we'll have Spurs fans celebrating, which will get up some Spammer moron's nose, and he'll kick off. If we lose, we'll have Spammers taking the piss out of us. Add a couple of Spurs morons unable to resist venting their frustrations and you have a powder-keg.

Groundshare? Yes, if it means that we get a new stadium quicker and cheaper. Groundshare with West Ham? My gut says no. There has to be a better option, surely?

i think wembley is a good option if we covr the top third of the stadium with flags ect. We should be able to fill 60,000 most games. The only problem I have with that is opponents playing at a much higher level because its at wembley

the latest parking restrictions are another reason for thinking of relocating. I don't have a car so it doesn't bother me personally, but I reckon a lot of people won't be happy, especially if we want to pack 50,000 in.

Yes I do remember the good ole days of going to the Lane as part of 58,000, but in the modern era I'm thinking the parking's gonna be a problem.

In so many ways I want to see us in Herts/Essex - but of course there are so many counter arguments.

I really don't know what to think and I'm sure the Board are in several minds too, hence the years and years delays in doing anything.

I wanted us to expand piecemeal years ago when we had the permission - I think if we had the 40,000 seater we could have easily got about three/four years ago, things would have been better down the Lane.

Why play 19 League away games when you can play them all away, eh?!

I'm sorry, 1 groundshare is a bad enough, but 3 or 4 different clubs is just madness. We'd have a very bad season if that were to be the case.

Sorry, joe, on this one I completely disagree.

Furthermore I would be furious and I think other regulars would be if we were to play a game in Ireland, the USA or anywhere else which is too far away from our home.

I pay for enough away games as it is without having to pay away day or European away day costs to watch Spurs play at home in the league.

I dunno, I reckon it would be quite a laugh if there were 30,000 Tottenham fans in Las Vegas - if the locals thought Hatton's supporters were rowdy, they'd be in for a shock.

Gambling, strippers and Tottenham all in the same place. Gotta be better than that shithole in East London we may temporarily move to.

Brisbane Road might be empty by the time we get the redevelopment underway, at this rate

much smaller, but it's still there...

Besides, what happened to the patch of land to the North? Weren't we looking at rotating the ground 90 degrees and siting it there, allowing us to continue playing at the current Lane during the build? That idea out the window then?
