This is the game Ade will find his form again. I can see him getting two today and us to take 3 points back to the Lane. COYS!

we need to keep the ball well withing the first 15-20 minutes, Its this period that will set the tone for their cup final. If we give away cheap ball and give them hope, we may struggle. If we keep it well they will run the enthusiasm out of their own legs.

I really hope the west ham fans don't let them sit back. They can frustrate the hell out of us if they do. Hopefully the atmosphere forces them to attack us and we can punish them with our pace.

really nervous about this game for some reason. must win really, and the fact we are away to the spammers adds to the feeling. On paper we should spank them (despite what their fans say), but in reality, this game could be really tricky as im sure they will lump it to carroll and hope noble/nolan feed off the scraps.

im quietly confident about tonight and the Arsenal game on the weekend. We have done well away from home as we pick off teams who play more openly in front of their own fans. I think 2-0 tonight at a canter because we will hold on to the ball so much

It will be a pretty hot atmosphere, stoked by the Bobby Moore tribute and this is something we need to cope with but playing wise, as long we keep the ball in play i.e. not giving away cheap free kicks *cough Walker* then we shouldn't have too much to fear.

Of course Bale will be our biggest threat and knowing Big Sam, he will look for the likes of Nolan, Noble etc to ruffle him early on but I think Lennon might prove the difference if he get's a bit more involved and we look to stretch the defence.

Playing wise, I'm expecting changes in defence but as long as Dempsey isn't preferred to Holtby then i'm confident we can nab all three points and give us a cushion again going into the crucial match vs the Goons.

This is a real test of our mentality and an opportunity to go third.

Spurs of old, and even recent years, would've bottled this. COYS!!!

Some of you lot need to man up. No wonder in the past we've not had the mental strength when the chips are down when most of our fans are wetting themselves. It's the same as last season at home to Wolves, so many were worried we'd slip up because 'that's what Tottenham do'. It's lame. West Ham are the worst team in the league on current form and we're second only to United I think, we should have the beating of them regardless of what tactics they employ. Three points and third place.

Sissys.

Lets fucking carve them up. Really need to be motivated, first to the 2nd balls and win the knockdowns as that's where their danger is going to come from. As other posters have said, sharp and professional possession play to take the sting out of the first 15 mins of their cup final and then after that slice them up. Never ease off when we score. Fuck them and fuck them hard so we can get on with chasing City for 2nd, Chelsea can stare at our heels as we go.

Reality however is whispering in my ear that we'll score early and get confused as how to play it

I have a feeling we might see Vertonghen at left back tonight.

I would be suprised. The main responsibility we need from a full back tonight is stopping crosses, since West Ham's main threat is Andy Carroll's height, strength and heading ability.

For all of Vertonghen's ability he has been shown as relatively incapable at stopping players going outside him and getting a cross in, so he would be a poor choice for tonight. He would be useful at full back against teams who have forwards who like to cut in from wide probably but that's not the threat here.

Can see Holtby running after the ball like a dog chasing it's favourite tennis ball, the boy will be everywhere.

Why? IMO he is not better than Benny at LB.
As for the rest of the posters, we can and we will win even if Bale has a shitty game. We have won games without him this season if you can recall. Be positive!
