Although the transfer window is still in full flow and we could magically acquire a WC striker or two....what are you most looking forward to this season?

It could be visiting a new ground, seeing a certain player develop, random European away trips or what not.

For me there are a few:
1. Having been busy over the last few years I've not had the chance to get to more than a handful of games each season at best. Already got 7 home tickets booked for this season and looking to get a few more + some away so I'm really excited about actually seeing more games and feeling the buzz that you don't get anywhere else.

2. Norwich away - plenty of friends who support them and want to go there and do them over big style :)

3. Martin Jol at WHL - Loved the big fella when he was at Spurs and think he will get a brilliant reception when he returns.

4. A cup run - I've got a good feeling that a really good cup run and possible silverware is due this season.

That's what I'm most excited about at the moment, could well change if we sign some new players.

(Shall we try and keep it an upbeat thread rather than one of doom and gloom?)

European aways :beer::beer:

European away games cannot be beaten.
Even if it is "only" the Europa League.

Amidst the horror and delusion of the transfer window, quite a lot of excitement is going in to the next season for me. All starts this weekend...

- Last pre-season friendly at WHL. Always gets me excited for the new season, as it's more often than not the weekend before it all starts. I always look forward to seeing our new signings in action for the first time on home soil...(!)

- Europa League. Mostly to see the kids get a run out. We have some extremely promising young lads in our ranks, and with the additions of Ceballos and more promisingly Coulibaly, we might finally see some of this potential emerge. Then again, Harry might be bluffing and it'll be another season of Bentley, Keane and Jenas.

- Less expectation than the other 5 teams around us. Last year it just seemed like we were always setting ourselves up for failure, considering the league success of the season before. I think now that we're not expected to finish any higher than 6th by most, we can actually go back in to a season as "underdogs". If you like...

- Players like Sandro and Walker hopefully pushing on from last season. We have a lot of talent in our first team, potentially World-Class players. Would be nice to end the season with a few of them signing extended contracts.

- Watching the likes of Caulker and Naughton play in the PL for other clubs. You always keep and eye out when we loan out players to the lower leagues, but it really feels like we're pushing on as a club now we're doing what the 'big boys' do, and loaning our future stars to other Premiership teams.

- Winning a Cup...

I just can't wait to experience that feeling of 3 points after a Premiership win, not many things make me more happy than that :)

Looking forward to seeing our young players getting some game time in the Europa League and Carling Cup hopefully. I'd love to see Kane and Coulibaby get a few runs out for a game or two, not just 5 minutes here or there. I'm hoping Townsend, Livermore and Rose/Walker can make a significant impact in all competitions, too.

Being given the opportunity, for the third year running, of watching my beloved Spurs playing twice weekly, even if it is only on the tele.
Can't wait for the season to start !!!!!!!! LOL

I'm looking forward to Harry Redknapp being SACKED!!

I can't see what else there is to look forward to after reading/hearing Harry's statements all summer....

Can't compete because of our wage cap & no CL

Stated that Liverpool are likely to finish above us because of their spending this summer

Stated the Europa Cup is going to hinder our PL campaign this season

Sick and tried of his negativity and lack of ambition! Not the positive comments/actions needed from someone trying to show our star players that we're moving in the right direction! No wonder we can't sign any decent players!

Always excited about the new season
though I should know better by now.

The pre-game anticipation,
you never know what might happen
watching the boys come out, huddle,
and play decent football whatever the result.

In particular watching some youngsters make the grade,
Townsend, Kane, Walker, Rose
and take our minds of the tedious pursuit
of overpaid stars who don't really want to play for us.

I'm looking forward to watching my team take a set piece that looks as though it might have been practised at some point on the training pitch. I'm looking forward to watching my team running off the ball to support the man in possession, rather than standing still and waiting for something to happen. I'm looking forward to seeing something, anything, on the pitch that suggests my team's coaching staff know how to make a team more than the sum of its eleven players.

And I'm not looking forward to watching Taarabt at the Lane.
