Mid-table. Can't see anything else. Even if we don't sell Kane, he'll be very disinterested and demotivated. The rest of our squad is painfully average. The chance of us winning something is laughable. Back to the 90's banter era for us, only in a better stadium

Massively depends on Kane situation and ins and outs so hard to say at this point but right now with squad we have and if Nuno can get a decent tune out of them we should finish 5-6th with an outside chance of 4th if we have a decent run or if one of top4 has a poor season like Liverpool did last year.

If Kane goes and we re-invest badly or not at all then could be anything down to 10th, if Kane stays and/or we invest very well in likes of RB, CBx2,CM, AM, ST then we could challenge for top4 if Nuno gets a squad that fits well and pulls together.

If I had to say now I’d guess 6th and mabye a cup semi final but too early to say as depends on transfers.

We have fallen quite badly.

I think 7th is the most realistic position based on current squad and competition from other teams. I just want Spurs to show more intent and bravery in games than the Jose era.

Even if we sort out the defence, and we seem to be doing that, we still lack a playmaker.

So 8th.

I think par for this season will be about 6/7th, I think with some good work in the transfer window and NES upping our fitness and creating more of a family feel we may push higher than that but my guess as it stands would be 7th.

Much will depend on our transfers. We need one or two to perform straightaway.

I generally believe signings start to perform more consistently in their 2nd or 3rd season.

So I am hoping that Lo Celso, Ndombele and Bergwijn all step up this season.

I think Nuno will do a lot better than Mourinho. Mourinho was a busted flush when we hired him and without Covid interrupting our downward spiral we would have been in deep, deep trouble. We had an absolutely dire season with points dropped all over the place and some shocking officiating/VAR adding to our woes, and yet we finished a mere 5 points off 4th spot. A decent transfer window and a manager who actually coaches the players, and I think we might just close the gap.

I agree. The problem is that our entire backline, bar Reguillon and perhaps still Hugo, is nowhere near good enough. It is very unlikely that we'll be able to fix that without prior preparation, and you don't win without a solid backline. In all likelihood we'll get some good defenders in this summer, ready to go for 22-23, at which stage Kane may well be off ruining our attack!

I see the title has been learnt from last season ?

EL qualification should be the minimum, I can’t see us finishing top 4 no matter what we do in the window, the teams above us are too strong.

Ideally would like to get back into the top 6 as that shows we are not declining anymore and moving in the right direction.

Between 6th-8th is where I expect us to be, city, utd, Chelsea guaranteed top four with probably Leicester making it this time.

If we finish 7th/8th Nuno will be gone IMO.

Hopefully, with a better defence and Kane staying we can make a cup run and challenge for top 6.

as it stands i think we'll be doing well to match last season's finish.

the squad is a bit of a mess with many uncertainties and those we're supposedly looking to bring in hardly fill me with confidence either.

Defending isn’t just about the back line. Football cliche 101 but it’s about the whole team.

That starts with style of play and mentality. And regardless of what doubts we might have about Nuno, we can be quite certain that we will be much fitter than we were last season and that we will defend much more aggressively, much higher up the pitch. We will consequently spend far less time defending.

That alone will improve our defence immeasurably.

Additionally, it seems that we will no longer be relying on Winks and Sissoko to help PEH to protect the defence. Oliver Skipp will be a vast improvement in that role.

And while you are correct to say that it will take new signings a while to adjust, Paratici is clearly targeting mobile, strong and aggressive defenders like Romero and Tomiyasu who will relish the physicality of the Premier League. Put them into a team that is well organised, aggressive and very fit and they will cope at least adequately while they acclimatise.

Better than last season’s back line in last season’s team with last season’s manager anyway.

6th minimum. Top 4 perfectly achievable.

We will be better than the mess under Mourinho without a doubt. 7th was our worst finish in over a decade and an anomaly.

The impact of Paratici is already clear. With 2 CBs alone, plus Skipp, that's already an upgrade. Add a sprinkling of Gils and Damsgaards and we could really surprise people.

And Kane is going nowhere.
