Not many signings from the big 6. With the signings we are making its crucial we hold on to kane as chelsea, pool and city need a world class striker. and can't afford one. Puts us in a good position.

I just ask we finish above the Arse and play some football that doesn’t make me want to shoot needles into my eyes more than half the time.

Certainly lots more work for Paratici to do between now and the end of the transfer window. With the squad we currently have I really wouldn’t fancy us to finish currently in the top 7. Still got to try and shift some how the likes of Winks,Sissoko,Aurier and with a bit of luck Dier and Sanchez and then carry on the rebuild!

As it stands this squad would not get us into the top ten. I don't think that's a controversial statement. Let's hope we have a very busy next ten days because there's a huge amount of work to do if this season isn't going to be a write off from the very beginning

Wouldn't get us in the top 10? What world do some of you live in?

Depends on whether you see Romero already as a Spurs player, with him in the squad we might have just enough to finish in the top 10.
We're still better than Arsenal, Villa, Leeds, West Ham, etc.

Blows my mind how pessimistic some folks are. We have a top 6 squad.

Villa making seriously good signings granted they would most probably their most important players.

Leceister will cement their top 6 and push strongly for a CL slot.

We look veey lightweight in attack if we lose or keep an unmotivated Kane. Probably quite abit work to get bodies in there.

Last season we had Kane, Son, Bale, Lucas, Bergwijn, Lamela and Vinícius the front three. Now we have left 3 assuming Kane goes along with the goals. Gil would need time to settle in.

All said. I will be happy to qualify for any European competition and to show progression for a developed game play.

Which of Villa's signings would slot into our team? Defensively they're not a top 6 club. Leicester's best defender might be out for the season and they might lose Maddison as well.

When it comes to the league Vinicius isn't a huge loss, Gil will probably provide more end product than Lamela, and Kane hasn't left yet. Reinforcing our defense with Romero instantly makes us better.

Top 4 and if lucky, win the EPL
No disrespect to Poch, who laid the foundation but we have been waiting for someone like Nuno and he is going to finish the job.

Losing Bale is a pretty big deal, given how prolific he was in the second half of the season.

It's hard to get optimistic abour our chances this season isn't it?

Other than Son and maybe Højbjerg, not many would make it into a top 6 team atm.

No it’s just a really, really silly one.

What evidence do you have to back up this claim?

@DeadleyLedley Yeah that's just dumb, sorry.

You may not rate the squad that highly but that's just overreacting, it's absolute foolishness tbh.

If you are taking our squad as it is we still have the the top 3 highest scorers and assist leaders in the Prem last season on our books.

Much will come down to centre backs and right backs for me, as the rest of the side I’m comfortable with.

Romero and Tomayisu makes us much better instantly, and then we need another good centre back in all probability but might need to settle for Dier, Sanchez and Rodon fighting it out.

I'm predicting 6th. Massive season of transition with a new manager that will take time to translate his ideas on to the pitch, and Paratici bringing in the next generation. We've lost Bale's goals and potentially Kane's too, so our success is dependent on who we can bring in to replace those goals

I feel like our season won’t properly start until after the international break when the window closes.

So many issues still to fix, along with players lacking fitness / returning late from tournaments.

We’ll see how it affects our points tally before then.
