I feel a little disillusioned about what I am seeing with the transfer market.

It seems that Chelsea and Man City get the first pick because of wages, transfer fees and CL football.

The Arse-nal because of Champions league, I guess they could afford the wages because of the bigger stadium, but maybe not?

Then Liverpool, because of stadium and I think higher wages? I guess wining the CL didn't hurt:)

What does that leave us to entice players with? does this mean that we are 5th choice and therefore will only get players the other four clubs don't want?

Do you think any of the four mentioned want Ada or Diarra? let alone players mentioned like Cole, Parker and the likes?

I think levy might have it right, forge relationships with other clubs and get them young, Sandro for instance - maybe that is the only way we can get them, before anyone else sees them on their radar (Wenger seems to have done a good job?)

6th in England, but in the top 20 worldwide. So we should be able to get quality players. Just not world class players.

Until we get a new stadium and can afford to pay higher wages then the only way forward right now is to scout the world like mad looking for young talented players who have the potential to turn into world class stars.

Sandro is great start and I have massive hopes that Coulibaly will also prove to be a shrewd signing. Players like Leandro and Abel Hernandez should be the type of players we go after, they will compliment the signing of Adebayor perfectly.

We're a big club, we're not as big as some or those mentioned but we should be able to do better.
There are plenty of teams globaly who can be compared to Spurs who are doing business it's our target selection and management team that are the problem.

The history is there behind us but its not recent. Successive champions league campaigns wages are the big draw for players. We are an attractive proposition, but if your Romas, Atleticos, A.Cs, Inters, Valencias, Barcas, Bayerns, Chelsea, Utd, City come in then we will prob come off second best whether that is money or stature.

There are plenty of players who we can get and are available. I just don't think we have the right list of targets. The likes of Mata and Aguero will always be out of our reach, even Rossi is a stretch. The likes of Llorente, Luiz and Leandro are realistic in my view.

I'm not sure why we're not signing players early like we did with 2 of our best signings Berbatov and Modric. We seem to be lost in the transfer window now. Sure we're going to struggle to compete with the higher payers but we can and will sign top players still. There are a lot of options available to us. Can we see them though?

It could even be the 25 man squad thing that has affected us greatly. It seems to be since that rule came in that we stopped signing players early. It has made it harder for us to sign players until we can shift the deadwood first.

Yes, basic commercial decision making.

Chelea and Shitty are not going concerns.

They could be out of business in five years, make no mistake.

We can't compete financially with the other five in the mix for CL places and naturally with their recent success Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsena will get players ahead of us regardless of money.

We've proved we can get good players though with proper scouting and a willingness to help develop player we can get top players. We bought Bale, Modric, Carrick, Berbatov, Sandro and others who didn't turn out so well.

We're a London club, we are in the best 6 clubs in one of the strongest leagues in Europe, we can outspend the bottom 14 PL clubs and we have relatively regular European football. We are an attractive club we just can't get the superstars.

At the beginning HR talked a lot about square pegs and square holes and in his first window two strikers, a midfield enforcer, a sub keeper and a backup right back when we had potentially bad injury problems at the back.

Since then we've bought a few players such as VDV and Krancjar when we didn't seem to have a plan or proper formation for them and we've failed to find a striker when we didn't seem to need much else. The window isn't over yet so there's still hope.

If Luka Modric leaves this window we should all give up. Gone will be the days we'll be able to appreciate pure quality within our team and what a shame that will be, a club with a history of such.

What can we offer new players? the message will be loud and clear!!...

We're a stepping stone club so give us two seasons mate, if your that great one will be enough, we'll shift you for big wages too ManU ManC Chelski. But you must first sign an agreement: the agreement before you leave we dance the exit dance...performed first by Berbatov and Modric.

First team football (for those who want to play and not warm a bench), playing in the PL is a large draw for players in pony leagues, in all honesty a chance to shine before making their 'dream' move to someone bigger.....

I'm sure 'Arry/Levy will be banging some other drums about being loved and cuddled by Chirpy all day long too. Who doesn't want a cuddle from Chirpy?
