I know I'm repeating others here, but if we can just make 3 worthwhile additions in key positions there is definitely no reason for us not to be safely inside that top 4. There is so much potential inside that squad right now and that topped with added quality we can easily compete with the elite

At the beginning of last year plenty of you would've deemed the notion of Liverpool coming 2nd impossible. I'm sure a few of you would've also thought United coming 7th was impossible too. It's football- weird shit happens. I think we've got a very slim chance of getting top 4, but why are some of you so proud to be defeatist? Isn't that little glint of hope what makes supporting a club like Spurs worthwhile?

I think we will finish above everton, then I think its a 3 horse race between us, man u, and liverpool hence why I chose 30%. We are all in a developing/transition period, us with a new manager and still integrating last years overhaul of players, man u with new manager but some very average squad members, and liverpool losing key player which I don't think they realise how much will affect there attack. That is why I am not going to say like others we have no chance cause in football anything can happen and I think we will be very close if not 4th place.

Jesus some fans really dont have a clue.
Buying the best players does not always work, ask Chelsea, when did they last win the league?
Man City spunk millions, they don't always win the league and there CL has been dire.
Money helps but does not guarantee success.
A balanced side with a good manager and patience.
We have a good core of players, they need time to adapt to each other and the managers philosophy.
What a cluster fcuk of a season we had last year and still managed 6th. God knows how it happened.
Just imagine what a settled side could produce?
I said last season it would take 10 to 15 games to gel all the new signings, unfortunately AVB did his best to cock it up and succeeded, then Tim did his best to alienate every player who wasn't called Bentaleb and succeeded.
How about MP working with the players we have to get a settled side playing his brand of football.
You never know we just might be up there come March and in with a shout, stranger things have happened.

I totally agree this squad should be capable of getting at least 80 points in my view we have a very strong squad which means we can bring on subs of equal standard to the first 11 all over the pitch. If we went crazy and added another goal scorer a strong central defender and a classic playmaker we could probably challenge for the league.. but thats a big if I think...

I'd say 10%...

People saying 30%...you do realize that means you think if the season was played 10 times, we would finish in the top 4 3 times?

With Chelsea, City, Arsenal, Liverpool, United, and Everton all playing...

Based on our activity in the transfer window, we will have pretty much the same team so I can't see how we can improve other than get the current players to improve under our new manager, but even for his first year we make take some time to gel under his system.

I think Europa is where we will end up again next year.

Haha, amazing that some people actually voted "100%" chance that we finish in the top 4. We may as well just skip to next season then lol.

There's an easy way to calculate this. We have to finish above all of United, Liverpool, and Everton.

I'd say we have about a 40% chance of finishing above United, 40 - 50% chance of finishing above Liverpool, and maybe 60% chance of finishing above Everton. That puts our chances somewhere between 9.6 and 12%.

Voted 40 per cent. Perhaps that's too optimsitic, but I really think we have a chance. I don't think we can compete with City and Chelsea, and I also think Arsenal will be too strong for us. The question is whether we can beat Liverpool or United over 38 matches. Liverpool will struggle this year, but how much? How much will United strenthen and how long will it take for the team to settl`? How long before the English media turn on van Gaal?

We are struggling on under the radar this year. Nobody talks about us and that is a good thing.

We have twice in the last 5 years. So we are ahead of target...

Our supporters like to revel in whiny pessimism. And they are proud of it.

When we finished 4th first time it came from nowhere and from much further back. It was totally inconceivable.
