I'd just like to see him get a run in the team for 6 games or so. I hate those jelly like bones in is feet..

i think bale could be used there, like barry has developed.

then again watching wales bale does the jobs of many players during a game. against much better teams than we play against with inferior team mates (that hurt saying that being welsh).

The guy hasn't a clue—that's abundantly clear from the utter cock he writes about Carrick.

Interesting.........

It could work. I'd be keen to find out where his favorite position is. I think he may be a bit young yet though.

I think O'Hara and JJ need to be given a run together in CM. JJ is our most experienced midfielder and I've been very impressed with O'Hara's effort, he's really working hard and thats exactly the attitude we need in the team at the moment.

We don't have a DM so let's not play with one and concentrate on our strengths rather than comprimise ourselves by playing players out of position. Okay, we had Berbs and Keane up front, but Zokora and Jenas were our midfield and we still managed to actually win a few games. At the moment we seem to be worrying about our defense when we should be more concerned with getting the attack working.

Modric is the key for me.

I can think of far worse solutions actually. DM and fullback are two of the most interchangable positions in modern football in terms of the required attributes of the players.

It might just be a Paul Stewart (c.1991) / David Howells (c.1994) / Gareth Barry (c.2006) moment for us and him.

You weren't writing about Carrick, were you?

I wouldn't dismiss the idea as totally insane, but we've had more than enough buggering about already. There's also the minor point that this notion assumes BAE will develop into a quality LB.

looks like some people are pleased with Ekotto at LB.

as i said some days ago, if Bale missed a game, then we will have problem, so we need to look at new LB next transfer window, with ability to play on left side too.

I guess some just consider it the lesser of two evils.

It did prevent me reading the whole article.

As to where Bale ends up playing, he's an excellent ball player and could end up playing further up the pitch. I think there were quotes from Hughton saying this when we signed him.

I think atm LM is the best position for Bale, unfortunately we haven't got a solid LB to put behind him. He gives us so much going forwards that i think he would be wasted in DM. I think if we were going down the DM route then O'Hara would be a good shout there, loves a tackle and his short passing game is solid enough

I think at the moment the team is in desperate need for some consistency. Bale's been one of our better performers so far and his best performances have come from LB.

I think he does have the ability to play in midfield be it wide left or in the middle but the time for experimenting is not when your team is struggling.

His positioning at fullback is questionable enough at the moment, let him learn that position rather than opening another can of worms. Also he's hardly gonna come off well in the midfield battleground with those glass ankles of his.
