I'm a classic Copa Mondial man myself, just seen that Adidas are supposedly releasing Samba versions for the World Cup http://www.footyheadlines.com/2013/08/adidas-to-release-5-colorful-copa.html

I'm unsure sure if I like or not.

I have Adidas World Cups for grass pitches and Copa's for 3G/Astro. The new style boots and colours just don't do it for me. I find these classic boots give far more support for the old chocolate ankles!

What do the rest of you prefer?

How come rules & regulations on logos/ colours/ kit etc are so very draconian ... but boots are exempt?

Adidas Kaiser 5s for pitches

I've got some cheap Adidas astro trainers, think they're Questra Special Edition although there's nothing special about them other than the price!!

Never been a fan, don't like the feeling of the tops pushing against the shin and the weird suction it creates!

But very useful if you come across a stray sheep on a cliff top apparently (y)

I assume because they're part of a club kits or colours that they are not deemed relevant.

Clifftop football! Sounds a tad dangerous, even in wellies

Was Copa's for best part of 15 years, had a season though where I had some orange Umbro's for some strange reason.
Got the piss ripped big time funnily enough....

Orange mercurial vapour superfly's, cos ima flashy ****.

I don't like adidas boots cos they're so plasticky and look tacky to me, don't really feel comfortable either. But those sambas don't look bad, they need to bring back everything they did right with old skool predators.

Agree with that generally but adidas classics are leather and look "normal" they're the copa, world cup & Kaiser ones. Mine are very comfy

My current boots are the CTR 360 Maestri in black. Probably the most comfortable boots I've ever owned.

I'm rocking Mercurial Vapour 9's in this fetching black, purple and yellow combination. They've got a blade right on the front edge of the boot so I can really get on my toes, which is nice

Funny that, because I feel the exact opposite! Not a Nike fan at all, especially the mercurials, just find them to be cheaply made. My mate goes through about 3 pairs a season, and he's pretty light on his feet.

I used to love Predators, but they're not as good as they used to be. I went to Puma Kings for a while but I've really liked the AdiPure range these last few years.

Currently have a pair of black Adipure 11Pros with purple trim for matches. Train on astro and use a pair of black AdiPures with red trim that I bought a few years ago and have lasted me well. Need to replace them soon though.

I can't wear blades though, they fuck with my ankles. I've torn ligaments in both ankles over the years (have very weak ankles since a kid) and I don't feel stable on blades.

Nice bit of f50 for me. So light and quick, feels likes I'm playing in socks

Puma King XL for both soft ground and artificial.
Nike Tiempo Legend for firm ground.

I prefer a classically styled/made leather boot. The adiPure range was really good when they were first released but they've made them flashier and lighter since.

used to be a valsport man but since taking it more casually i have switched to puma, which i have found very comfortable. However, if anyone knows a good boot shop i would love to get my hands on some valsport fuoriclasse fg
