What happened to the dude that looked like Russel Crowe? He was supposed to be amazing and I've not heard anything from him since the homo-erotic pre-season posts. And today The Sun (i know, i know) link us with Pompey's 'Keeper Coach.

Did he get the boot with Wendy? If so I didn't see the announcement.

Yes, he is still there. Not sure how good he is yet though. Hasn't had much time yet, but someone needs to get Gomes head sorted out.

Not all the time though. He needs to learn to read the situation better. He cant come for every ball. Especially in the Premier League where there are a lot of big physical players to challenge for the ball. He cant come through a group of 6 footers all the time. But at the same time, our defenders need to defend crosses better, so he'll have more confidence to stay on his line and not always come for the ball.

Gomes needs a bit of work about decisions to come for crosses or not, but the mean problem is kicking which costs us our attacking football a bit of problems, he alaways made wrong passes or make long throws which it's good enough to take by strikers.
