Is he out of contract in the summer or is Levy just going to get rid. What is the deal. His position now is all but over at Spurs.

Sorry if this has been asked before but I have not seen it.

If he doesn't get the England job? His contract isn't up i'm pretty sure of that so IMO he'll stay, resulting in carnage on SC.

But thems hypotheticals, i'm pretty confident he'll get the gig.

think he has one more year on his contract. If his contract was up then England would have announced his appointment for the Summer.

So failure to secure the england job will leave him with us for another season at least.............marvellous:(

He will get the England job, because if he wasn't going to he would have been sacked already.

Levy would surely let him go, or at least I would certainly hope that would be the case. We arn't talking about a mini slump/blip now....it has a chronic look to it. No manager lasts under those circumstances, unless you're at Wolves of course.

The general consensus is that he has had some sort of agreement with the FA all a long, there has been some sort of frame work established - the only thing of course is Levy probably hasn't been party to it - pretty significant!

Perhaps he could go back to Southampton...

He will be England manager.

But, in the hypothetical situation you outline:

He will be out of work. He will have to look for work or retire.

I predict a decline in the jobs available, that he will take and a marked decline in his win percentage, leaving him to move out of the game. If he ends up at say, a relegation scrapping, newly promoted club.... you can be sure that his one important win will come against Tottenham and he will claim that he has 'proven himself, not that he needed to...'

I agree totally

If he were to not get the job I think he would just continue to be our boss regardless of the way we are finishing

I also think agreements with England have already been made in principal so I have no real doubt that he will be leading England and not us next season.

A lot of "if's'" I know but if Harry don't get the England job, and we manage to finish in a CL spot it wiull be very difficult to sack him. We will get crucified by the media so straight away whoever comes in the media will have the knives out for him :(

For what its worth , I predicted he wouldn't get the England job...that was just after a few of our defeats ,I thought his mumbling interview excuses would do for him remembering how recent results have affected previous England appointments .

As it stands now Pardew would be ahead in the flavour of the month stakes and...think about it , as an FA bod would you really want a loose cannon gob like Harry's spouting self serving crap all over the back pages ?

Hope he goes to England mind . Ha ha 'spect Levy has whipped the rumoured juicy England thwarting contract offer he made earlier , off the table double quick .

Anyway , I reckon Harry might go anyway ....if we fail to get 4th .

If there are agreements in principle, for what reason are they not brought forward, it would surely suit all parties now. England get their man early, we get shot sooner and can try and get something sorted sooner. At the very least it would clarify a very unclear situation that is suiting no one. If and it looks likely, we finish 6th, its hardly a glowing endorsement for the FA's new manager.........
Harry going may at least galvinise the players a bit for the last few games. If nothing else it may improve the atmosphere around the place. The last few home games are not going to be much fun, and any negative atmosphere around the place is hardly going to make the key players want to stay, a few wins and a 4th palce finish could mean we finish on a high (well less of a low anyway).

Having read these I am more optimistic for next season my heart couldn't cope with another season were we play like kings and then suddenly fade away.

if he doesn't get the England job, id love to see him FULLY backed in the next transfer window and not restricted to loans or deadline day signings og Championship players.

then maybe just maybe we would see the goods this man can produce.

Don't just blame Harry for our slump, lord levy deserves some blame too.
