I thought it was funny to read Man utd fans complaining about Pochs attitude to the FA cup when it was their own club that fecked up the cup in the first place when Fergie was the first to start playing second strings in the competition.

You mean Fergie was the first to pull his team out of the competition altogether. They used the world club cup thingy as an excuse. Shambles.

Arsenal and Southampton both made 10 changes.
Wolves made a lot of changes as well.

Seems no team takes it *too* seriously. At least not at this stage. Man Utd's line up was hardly their first XI.

Why do they hate us so much?

Possibly because a lot of our fans didn't give them credit last year and claimed they only won the league because their players were on drugs.

Can't blame them. Some of our fans have no class.

Are Sunderland fans saying anything or have they all committed suicide?

From a Sunderland forum:

"The way Toby went off I would be surprised if he plays. Danny doesnt want to play against us (he secretly wants to be in the stands supporting us) and Kane will be nutted in the 1st minute by Star Trek head and be rubbish.
3-1 to SAFC.

PS, sober ish."

"Pour me a drink,it seems better in your world"

"MANNONE/ PICKFORD

JONES KONE LESCOTT PVA OR ????

BORINI N'DONG ???? JANUZJAI OR ????

?????
DEFOE"

"Definitely need two keepers"

"I think the Palace game will be the one to introduce any players we sign so apart from Lescott the Spurs team will be make do and mend.

MANONNE

KONE OSHEA LESCOTT

LOVE JONES

NDONG HONEYMAN JANUZAJ LARSSON

DEFOE"

"Perhaps we will play well and only lose 0-1 ?"

There's also rumours that Darron Gibson and Bryan Oviedo are due for a medical at Sunderland today. Can't find their opinions on that topic, but it's hardly inspiring stuff. With Rodwell, Lescott, Oviedo, Gibson, Pienaar and Anichebe their basically a team of ageing Everton rejects. Probably a tough future in the Championship as well.

They're not hopeful.

For example:

Mannone

Jones Denayer Kone Manquillo

Larsson Ndong Rodwell

Borini Defoe Honeyman
Subs: Mika, Love, Lescott, O'Shea, Khazri, Gooch, Januzaj

We will still get hammered but at least the bench is looking more experienced.

Van Arnholt signing for palace is a blow to them. They are really lacking any decent fit defenders and if Lescott carries on where he left off last year it could be a white wash. Classic game where we will probably score early and then threaten to give it away by being casual in the second half.

As much as its only Sunderland a win hear with the chavs playing Liverpool could be significant for us moving forwards.
