Most Man Utd fans have almost no idea of actual football. Man Utd was just winning the league when the were young so they hopped on the Man Utd bandwagon. I don't usually take the word of a Utd fan to heart ;).
Internet UTD fans are different to the ones who go. I've always found them to be pretty decent, especially their away support.

The Oatcake Match Thread for Stoke versus Spurs - September 3

"We are going to dish out a massive beating to the Southern softies and Rose and company will wish they had never seen the Bet365. Bony hat trick, clean sheet for us!"

The Oatcake Match Thread for Stoke versus Spurs - September 10

"Spurs are a bloody brilliant side, they are good to watch, they are so good that they were playing with us at end like a cat toying with a mouse, they have spent zilions of pounds and have a good manager, just like Man City. They basically ripped us apart. End of. Still not a happy bunny!"

A week is a long time in the Potteries, as Harold Wilson nearly said once.

Was it just me who loved watching us stand toe to toe with Chelsea then? My favourite game of last season, despite what the result meant

I found it a really frustrating game to watch. We were miles better than them and should have steamrolled them but we let them get under our skin.

Once I had calmed down I repeatedly watched videos of Dier sything down fabregas and hazard though.

Fabregas really is an odious little pimp

Poor old SP, his enormous posts are part of his character. Like that mate in the pub who really has to explain his thinking while you nod and nod over your pint.

Think the place would be less vibrant without them personally, whether I agree with them or not (in this case it was a very good point).

Bullet points is the way of a dumbed down society and the Mail Online. And fuck those guys

Very magnanimous.

Interesting though that despite our net spend (ahem) over such a prolonged period so many fans still have this perception of us as having spent zillions of pounds. Unless, of course, he actually meant we were like Citeh in being like a cat toying with a mouse, but it doesn't read like that.

What I liked most about it was that a draw was a great result for them. Even their players were sitting themselves.

I hate Chelsea like no other team.

Pretty sure Stoke has spent far more money than we have over the last 5 years.

I'm almost certain that it's a typo and the poster meant to say we haven't spent zillions of pounds. In the context of what he's saying it makes much more sense.

No. Because he says 'just like Man City'

Perhaps he's just referring to the 'good manager' bit ?
What I do know is with the world's leading grammar analysts active on this thread I trust we'll get to the bottom of it.

We did stand toe to toe and at the time I was proud that we stood up to them but in hinsdsight, it was at the expense of the exhilarating football be played prior the fighting.
