Sky pundit (can't remember his stupid face) says...

'It'll probably be a team outside the top six to stop City's unbeaten run'

Suits us eh ?

Wonder why the Watford lot are so down. I think they stand a chance against us. We seem to sleep walk the first 30 mins of matches these days :D

Then again, I think our lads are smarting and will be out to put things right.

I hope we are keen to get back to winning ways. We've lost a bit of drive and ruthlessness in recent games.

If i was Watford i'd be happy to be playing us now. They play well against unsure teams who won't match them in a fight, i know we can but will we bring that to the table this week?

I'm really surprised they're down too, quite simply they've been playing well and we've been playing poorly as of late.

A fast start will be so important. If we can get a goal the space will open up in that final third with them chasing and I think that's when we're at our best.

There's so much at stake for the first time in a while I'm not really looking forward to this, I'm just nervous. We can't afford many more slip ups at all at this stage. Is a weird stage for me right now, I just can't watch any other football or SSN when we're playing like this.

Everyone hates Spurs fans nowadays :(
It’s pure jealousy. I have no idea why as a fan base we just don’t embrace the hatred. Who cares if they like us or not? They want us to be the bad guys? Be the bad guys. Fuck them. This is what all good teams do. It feels like as a club from the fans all the way down to the players that we’re too nice sometimes. We have to change that mentality if we ever want to go from a club that’s really good and challenges for titles to a club that actually wins them.

I genuinely think a lot of teams hate us because they want to be us, without sounding arrogant as fuck. They don't feel the same with the likes of Chelsea, United, Man City etc. because they know they can't compete in the grand scheme of things but I think other teams see us as a team they should be competing with and a team that they should be striving to replicate in terms of on the pitch success yet we're leaving them in the dust in terms of progression, without having an influx of cash like Chelsea and City.

Ok, lets and get this thread back on track for once. few snippets from a watford forum...

"Seriously - to win, we're going to have to out score them (er, no shit mate!!). I think it's crucial that we take the lead at least. Otherwise - just as the other night - 0-1 could quickly become 0-2/0-3 etc."

"Hoping for something special, but fear a battering. 1-4 or 1-5 Spurs:("

"Can’t stand Tottenham or their fans (does anyone these days?!). I don’t know when we beat them last? But it’s about time now. As Joss says, we will concede so we’ll need to score more than them.
5-4 Watford win!"

"We’ll lose this, we always do with Spurs."

"Going to get smashed. Conceding the game before kick-off will be the smart thing to do as it will only result in 3-0 loss.
If we do in fact decide to insist on actually playing this game, Kane will bag a hat-trick, Alli a brace and Son with a screamer. We might get a goal if we’re lucky.
Watford 1-6 Spurs. Perfect day to do something else and just check the result at 5pm."

- This is an interesting stat of thiers, will probably be 0-0- now......

"Games v top 6;
Liverpool - 3-3, 6 goals
Man city 0-6, 6 goals
Chelsea 4-2, 6 goals
Man utd 2-4, 6 goals
Only the arsenal game threw up less than 6 goals.
I conclude we need to score 3 for a chance of a point. 4 to win it. Or Silva goes oddly defensive"
Fuck!

Every time we get negative opposition fans on here we lose!

Everyone hates us because the media love us and our fans gob off.
They all hate us because we are much more of a threat these days. I remember when we were everyone's favourite 2nd team, when we posed absolutely no threat to anyone in our soft southern softy guise.
