Goonies are quiet I presume
That's a fackin first :cautious:
On Arsenal-mania they are basically just calling us a bunch of diving cheats. The ones talking about the match are either delusional thinking they will smash us because it is at Wembley or are hoping for a tough draw.

saying stuff like...

I hope Harry Kane is suspended for the dive that he did on their first PK.

If it was a foreigner, it'd be no question.
Let's see what the FA do about it.

I'd be more confident with no Kane. Should win nonetheless, but take any advantage that we can.

What about lamelas terrible faint that got the second pk not how how ref and linesman missed that

No chance Kane gets banned, the guy could tape machetes to his boots and get away with it.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how we perform against more aggressive opposition.

The thing I'm specifically looking forward to is counter attacking. The speed and skill we can counter with now will be truly terrifying. I'm ****ing intimidated by it, can't even imagine what the spuds are feeling.

This could be another all time classic NLD. Hoping for 5-1, which just improves on the usual 5-2, while still denying Peter Chech his clean sheet. Would also love for Wilshere to come on at 4-1 and win a peno with an unconvincing dive.

Massive test for our team but we have to go there thinking we can beat them, and we can totally beat them.
Get the mentality right and Spurs will have no chance.

Spurs are very narrow so there is space to exploit and pea can leave their defenders for dead.

these were just from the first 2 pages...from here

Normally when the opposition fans, especially the goons and scum, are not feeling confident I worry about the match.

Now...they are feeling so confident...I really think we're going to suffocate them. I honestly don't think they'll score. Something like 1-0 or 2-0. Maybe optimistic, but they're so up their asses right now I can totally see us trashing them

Just seen this on the scum forum (I refuse to link that shithole Mania here)

“Anthony Taylor will officiate the north London derby. The Gunners have won seven and lost none of the last 10 matches with him in charge, including a game each against Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City & Man Utd”

Hmm (I think they are clutching at straws.)

Hmm

Were there any contentious decisions in those matches that went Arsenal's way?

Regardless, the ridiculous furore in the media regarding the penalty decisions at Anfield won't help. Even Lineker piped up on Twitter yesterday implying that Tottenham were “cheating”.

I’m not one to buy into “the world’s against us” narrative but will this wave of criticism influence (even sub-consciously) the way we’re treated by referees in the short term? I’d be surprised if the team was awarded a penalty over the next couple of matches.

Anyone else just really hugely bored of reading about how our players “dived” in complete contradiction to what is seen if you actually watch the match? It gets tiresome so quickly.

Yep - a handful of sensible voices aside, the reaction in the media by pundits, journos and ex pros has been ludicrous.

Of course we cheat. How else would the best striker in the country get to 100 goals faster than anyone but Shearer?
If only Kane had talent like...Eboue. Hang on wait a minute I remember that name, mental picture coming in. Arsenal v Tottenham

I know i'm old and my eyesights failing but i swears thats a guy in a red top falling over spontaneously....

He tweets quite a lot and I can't be bothered to scour his feed. What did he say? Surprises me, as he's normally got our back (obviously not as much as Leicester's).

Poch said (in the independent) diving is a 'minimal detail' and over analysis is killing the game...to which Lineker tweets 'No it's cheating that will kill the game Mauricio.'

That's it really - a slight dig...unless he's said something else that i missed

Simply if one of our players dived then I’d be just as dissapointed in them, but the Lamela one for instance.. VVD literally just kicks him in the back of the thighs. There’s no question about it, literally kicks him. It’s a foul, it’s a penalty. End of.

Yet we have to sit here listening to “oh they dived”, “they all dive they’re cheats” which frankly I feel you actually have to be a bit thick to agree with. All it actually means is that Liverpool get a free pass from the media who won’t talk about how we actually just outplayed the little media darlings in the second half, and next time someone kicks a lump out of one of our players a referee won’t give it through fear of being discussed on match of the day. Still, Klopp doesn’t think it wasn’t a penalty so it can’t have been, what with him being the best thing that has ever happened to football ever.

Well to be fair, Poch has opened himself up to that by his comments.

One win against an Everton team devoid of confidence and ideas, and even taking that in to account, gave the game away as soon as they could, and suddenly the goons are flying and confident!

I was surprised too. He was commenting on Pochettino's quote about "diving is a “minimal detail” and that overanalysis is “killing the game”. Lineker's reaction was "No, it’s cheating that will kill the game, Mauricio."

He's not outright calling Poch or the team cheats but it's implied, IMO. Open to interpretation anyway.
