Definitely. They get away with it because Eddie Howe is such a "nice young man" you could bring home to meet your grandmother and because they're built up as this plucky rags to riches success story even though they're basically a poor man's Man City, same goes for Leicester. Had massive investment and been financially doped all the way to the PL.

Ive heard he's nothing of the sort. He's quite ruthless.

From Blue Moon which seems Bluer than normal.

No Fenandinho is a huge loss vs a midfield focused side like Spurs. I’m not looking forward to this one *sighs*

Wind is out of the players sails. Others tired. We’ll get absolutely tonked.

John Moss is going to ref the match. I don't know how you fucks are expecting us to win when Spurs will be fielding 12 players.

My biggest worry is the safety of our players. Spurs players are getting away with some horrendous challenges. If we get any lead you can expect a few studs up challenges to come flying in.

We need Pep gone and replace him with Rodgers.

- 2 goals disallowed
- 1 penalty denied and Sterling carded for the "dive", Spurs score on the counter
- Kane and Dele put in a couple of leg breakers to round it up, ref chuckles and tells them to stop being naughty
I said 1-2 for the scousers and 0-2 against Spuds..Its going to take time to stop this slide.

Nailed on loss. This squad is a drift. And it comes down to one person.

Thats funny because thats exactly how I feel when Moss refs our games. He never gives us anything and makes loads of mistakes. Although did have a good performance in the Liverpool game. But you can bet after giving us 2 penalties in that we won't get one on saturday.

I've met him he's a nice fella

But his team does do shithouse stuff

Im not saying he's a nice guy away from football but Ive heard he's not all sweetness and light. Not a criticism of him at all btw.

He has to get his chance at a larger club soon. Who's to say he couldn't have an effect on a team like Everton like Poch has had with us for example. Regarding my above sentence, if he was manager at Everton now, Rooney wouldn't be playing in games at his current level of performance/effort etc.

It’s strange how we seem to have gotten a ‘dirty team’ reputation. It seems to have originated from THAT Chelsea game. Every time we play now, they’re watching us through the lens of that game and seeing bad tackles where there is none.

Of course, social media doesn’t help. People just repeat something they read and believe it because they want it to be true. And thus, our reputation is set.

I know I’m/we’re biased, but we’re not more dirty than any other team. Maybe it’s the contrast from the old ‘soft Spurs’ to a team that actually have strong players and doesn’t take crap anymore... weird.

We are quite a dirty team now, and to be honest, I fricking love it. The reason we're getting hate, is we're not so much dirty in the English sense of blood and thunder tackles, it's more in the Latin/Argentinian sense, of crafty fouls, some diving, breaking up play.

I quite like it - as long as it doesn't start affecting referees' decisions.

I think there is a bit of truth in the fact that we are a lot more pragmatic about the physical side of the game than our flamboyant reputation of the past. Pochettino was an Argentinean centre-half so hardly surprising we're a bit better at the 'dark arts' than before.

It's a stick to beat us with and it becomes a narrative.

Dirty team
legends
Haven't won a trophy

Mate who says it (Chelsea fan) says it because we get too much praise in the media ( Who'd have thought hey :meh: ) and fans desperately try to knock the hype on the head by exaggerating things that put us in a negative light... but he's also aware of it because people were throwing shit at Chelsea when they were on top, he said take it as a compliment because people will always throw shade on good teams due to jealousy which is probably the biggest compliment he said about us - don't think he actually meant to praise us but there you go lol

The City fan that wrote this:-

May not be far wrong,
I think many of our fans are scared because City lost last night but they'd probably still have been scared if City had won, a dose of reality from the other side is welcome.

Totally agree. The worst thing about us a few years ago wasn't that we weren't very good, it's that we were soft as shit and it was horrible to watch.

The level of competitiveness is the thing I like most about this Pochettino team.

City played OK yesterday I thought, they've only had two poor halves of football in their last 3 games and both have cost them dearly.

I love the fact we are perceived as a dirty team! Finally we are a team with grit that opposition teams dont want to face! Far too many years we were a bunch of softies who would roll over at the first sight of confrontation!

I'm sure he is behind the scenes but his public image is that he's a nice young chap and that's how he comes across in interviews etc. I reckon that's definitely a factor in why they never get called out by the pundits for being dirty.
