They actually finished with more points in the league last year without him.

But that's none of my business.

They can mix it with the best of Europe? The only 'best of Europe' team they faced in the CL outside of the Premier League was Real Madrid, and they lost.

Never said it wasn't correct. But we go on about it way too much.

It’s become the new “finish above arsenal”. I agree, it’s a bit small time. They’ve finished 2nd more than us in that time and have got to CL and Europa finals. Not exactly enough to Lord it but it is always funny how in denial they are and fans often don’t realise it’s been that long

Not sure ''very little demands' really is the right way to describe having to get top 4 and Champions League football on a budget of about half of what all our main rivals have. Versus RM with unlimited funds in a much easier league.
Yawn... You have a top 4 squad. It's not hard to get in the top 4 with the squad you have.

2 of the last three years you could/should have won the league/challenged until the final weeks. You didn't.

Hard to continue it, sure. But your players are in a good spot, mostly young. The squad has been built fantastically, but as Southampton demonstrated, replacing bargains season after season is so tough.
On one hand why would any tip player or manager stay at spurs when they can't compete....... On the other we should have won the league two of the last three years, despite never actually ever being in a position to be ahead of favourite at any point.

Metalhead

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Look at it this way....without deluded Liverpool fans there would be no RAWK meltdown. The world is definitely a better place with RAWK meltdown.

There's something about being a Liverpool fan that gives this unearned sense of entitlement their whole fanbase seems to have, it's insane the sheer amount of idiots they have

You spelled '****s' wrong!(y)

They only have one way of playing and if you can contain this for the first 45 minutes then they struggle Madrid was a prime example of this. Teams will be much more prepared for their first 25 minutes tearing around like a rabid dog next season.

I think Klopp has realised that and has bought well in midfield. Liverpool's style is basically a long quick ball to their front three or press for mistakes and quickly break it's pleasing on the eye because it's pretty aggressive / quick/ explosive there are many things to like about their style stats show they also have possession however there seems to be no control imo in midfield but they say styles make fights.

Tottenham style is more of a possession based game ( control ) when fully fit we can switch attacks to our wingbacks break lines with late runs which Dele Alli has become a master at imo, probe with Eriksen and of course Harry Kane is lethal, all ahead of a block defensive unit ie good CB and a holding midfield.

I really hope Poch can get to further perfect his style its a much more fluid interchangeable system imo.

It was nothing to do with tribalism why Dele was booed ( I was sad it happened though), he came out publicly and renounced his heritage his nigerian roots Alli publicly stated he had no connection to the surname Alli after years ie at MK Dons having the name then changed his name on the back of his shirt to Dele.
I think thats what upset many Nigerians
Certainly a large part of but I wouldn't discount other reasons. I haven't read the whole thread but one guy who was actually defending Alli said apart from the hair he was more white than black. So who knows what the detractors may think.

Perhaps being brought up by foster parents might have had something to do with it?

In what way?

Where was his father when dele needed him? Where were the nigerians? He was brought up by foster parents. So if his father turned his back on him why should dele show any affinity for him or nigeria? He's english born and bred.

Agreed but his mum wasn't there for him either.

Nobody knows the whole (both sides) story Dele obviously had a lot to say about the issue. I just hope he finds peace. I'm pretty sure Dele has a very big family in Nigeria like Balotelli (Ghana) and Fashanu bothers before sometimes fostering is a means of a better opportunity of life.

I'm second guessing and don't have the facts... Like I said I only hope Dele isn't too disturbed about these things and moves on positively in his life.

Could see Alderwiereld, Rose, Wanyama and Sissoko all moving on in the summer.

Could you see it or did you just read it online like the rest of us did?

To be fair, finishing above the European Champions is a fantastic achievement.

Will be the last time it happens for a long time.

Well if recent history is anything to go by, it’ll happen 8 times in the next 9 years, daft ****.

A definite power struggle going on at Spurs.

Yep. No wait, I mean no. No there isn’t. Daft ****.

Spurs are a tiny club who have got lucky in Kane and in the market. That won't last forever. Let them celebrate their trophy for finishing 3rd. We were ahead majority of season but then had to rotate players. Can't wait till spurs become the 6th best team in league again. Where they belong.

You were ahead most of the season until you had to rotate.... ? isn’t that what a squad’s for? Oh, and a tiny club who will have the second highest attendance in England next season, after having the highest this season. You’re right about one thing though:- we should be finishing 6th, like Liverpool should be finishing 4th every year but they haven’t have they. Does this mean Poch is doing a better job with his resources than Klopp is with his....?

Since when have Spurs ever been relevant to us? I couldn't give a shit about them. They aren't even the biggest club in North London. I'll always respect Arsenal, but Spurs have never been on the radar. Are they another club trying to drum up a plastic 'rivalry' with us when we actually don't give a crap about them? It's laughable

Worst comment of the lot. Generally had no major interest in Liverpool until they decided to make Spurs their sworn enemies after the match at Anfield. Going on about Kane and Dele for months even though you ‘don’t give a crap about us’. Your fans have created this rivalry, not us. Daft ****.

I think some of their fans have started to pretend that they are somewhat on our level when it comes to being big clubs. Which they are nowhere near.

Liverpool are a bigger club in terms of history, trophies and worldwide support. But the last 10 years, we’ve been a bigger and better team. 10 years is quite a lot you know...

No, not even close. But their dreams... They aspire to be us, and also despise us for who we are.

Shut up you daft ****.

A couple of decent posters amongst that lot, but some proper shite too. Answers bolded above.[/QUOTE]
