West ham are a total irelavance a joke of a football club imo who along with the spin trotted out by miss Brady believe they belong among the elite.
And yet they have won nothing for 36 years and what they have won is a total of 4 trophies a pathetic haul it has to be said.
They never compete among the big boys for more than a season before either falling down the table or get relegated a true football giant, but by offering bottom end prices for their stadium tickets they fill up a souless track and field arena and claim to be part of the elite.
They are nothing which is why they hate us so much because they want what we have.

And when we have our new stadium they'll hate us even more :)
Man that's gonna be sweet.

Are Watford one of those teams obsessed with us?

Well, I recall them talking a lot of shit about us on their forums last season. I recall it vividly because they were just around the top 4 and they felt that they deserved to be there more than we did.

The funny thing about that is, that was the first time we played 3 at the back to counter their 2 in-form STs (Deeney and Ighalo). It was effective and other clubs followed and found success as well. The great season they were having crashed after that.

Wasn't it Watford a few seasons back when they were on a good run at the start of the season saying they 'should be beating teams like us' and 'we have better players in most positions'? Sure it was.

Yeah it definitely was, at least on their message boards, they were arrogant as hell.

Yeah Son shut them up pretty quickly though.

This will be as tough as last season even though their strikers are nowhere near as deadly this year.

They actually have no idea.

Redmond is the last man and is blatantly making no attempt to play the ball - that alone is a red card.

The fouling continues into the box - penalty.

Not gonna pretend we've never had any luck with Mike Dean, we obviously have, but his decision to give a penalty and a red card in this instance is bang on.

Fuck 'em. They were lucky to only lose 4-1.

And people keep whining that he's given 3 penalties in recent memory, so what? The west ham pen was as blatant as you can get, should he not give it because he'd given us one earlier in the season then? Can't recall the third incident.

It was two penalties and three sendings off. None of the Soton fans or Goons etc have mentioned that he also gave West Ham a penalty against us or that 2 of the red cards he's dished out were in the final seconds of a game with us already leading. He's not made a single dodgy decision in our favour which has turned a game - I think the penalty/red card on Wednesday should have been a free-kick and red card but as we missed the spot kick that error didn't impact on the result.

We can recycle what opponents fans say, right?

Watford forums are quiet on the upcoming game with us:

A quiet day for Gomes.

Britos to cane Kane.

Capoue bosses the midfield with Behrami chopping down anyone who gets in his mates way.

Usual brace for Igs & TD9 & last minute pen for Capoue.

3-0 to the Orns.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Joking aside, it looked like the lads were saving themselves for this. I hope it doesnt backfire, because a half assed point at chelsea followed by droppingloints at home to a top 4 rival would be a big disappointment we fluffed the chance to close the gap on Arsenal andLeicester yeaterday. Must win game now.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your right Moogy, if we are to be taken as a top 4 contender we need to win this game.

I never thought I'd ever say that!

A Tottenham fan said to me today "another decent win then, you'll be above us soon"

She could be right.

I did say that we could be above every team soon.

Let's hope everyone keeps thinking "it's only Watfud, easy three points"

Hmmmm.......................

I miss that thread

Spent 25 years in Watford, an awful lot of their supporters have us as a second team because of the geographics.
Generally a good bunch, 15 years ago they dropped back into division three and about five years ago nearly went under.
They know they are punching above their weight, especially when you look at the size of other clubs in the championship.
Fair play to them.

And I was shown the 'yellow card' for using bad language!! The mind boggles!! I am not judging you post sargentmeatcurtains, but simply expressing my views on the 'foul language'.
