My West Ham mate messaged me to say he hopes we win only because he had a bet on us and that he feels sick about wanting us to win. We then spoke about their match against Everton...

Me: Didn't Bilic play for Everton?

Him: Yes, it was all very controversial because he had said he wanted to move to a big club and that West Ham were a stepping stone.

Me: To be fair, he would've said the same thing if he'd moved to Orient.

Him: Fuck off with your stupid girlie handshake celebrations.

I love the fact that literally the only thing West Ham fans can think of to have a go at us now is the handshakes or, in the case of some other fans I know, the length of Harry Kane's tongue.

Afaik meta means like the optimum why to play
I 1st encountered this on poker forums where meta game was like you know someone who was flavour of the month at the time would make a questionable move to set himself up for the kill later
In reality he probably hit the wrong button cos he was stoned

"Ridiculous fans. Team having a great season and gave everything in the game, yet abandon them at first sight."

I completely agree. I hope everyone that left early realises thay they are getting laughed at!

There were Chelsea fans that left early too. Plus we didn't need plastic flags to add 'atmosphere'.

Yeah, nothing wrong with a bloke sitting behind his keyboard in China/America/Africa telling match going fans what support is all about...nothing wrong with that at all.

I expect to be laughed at cos other fans hate us, but I also expect some grudging respect fir the way we played them off the park. I'm reading Shearer's review of Chelsea's win and he claims they were "content to soak up Spurs attacks". Like hell they were. We bossed the game after the initial shock of going a goal down. They scored from 3 set pieces and the 4th was when we were chasing the game. They were resolute in defence but they had to be. Surely neutral fans could see that.
