Would our social media accounts be the same without some random African gooner piping up? I wouldn't have it any other way.

I worked as a photographer for the Mirror(11 years) , the Mail ( 12 years) and the Guardian and others (5 years) for 28 years. Used to do Spurs one week , Arsenal or another London club the next.i stopped doing sport and news 15 years ago as I do mainly portraits for mags now but I can agree that the mail and anything from the Murdoch stable have racist agendas, doesn't mean most working there are racist. Even the Guardian ( not racist) is very establishment driven. Press and media is always driving the agendas of their owners. The Guarduan is literally full of gooners. There’s 3 Spurs fans on staff and only one is allowed near Sport.

I can't believe there's actually a debate about the DM and such papers being racist and intentionally target minorities including footballers, I mean if you can't see it then you're actually blind, where have you been, it's like one of the best un-kept secrets in the media lol

25 point swing means that City will need lose 13 points and Liverpool would need to gain 12, even then Liverpool would need to better their goal difference if the two teams are tied. Further to this City are on an upward trend and will inevitably improve, they may not reach the tally of 100 points again but you're asking an awful lot for other teams to suddenly stop them, I mean it's not as if many of them got close is it.

For Liverpool to catch them they will need to improve immeasurably and be near perfect and from what I've seen of Liverpool they have a lot to work on. Liverpool are also on an upward trend but I think city have more momentum personally.

It's deluded to think that a team who scraped top 4 on the last day can challenge a team who ran away with the league, if anything Man Utd are the best placed team to do it and even then I don't think they will get as near as they want to them
My family has supported Dortmund for years (left Wiebelhausen due to Nazis). I have watched a lot of Dortmund. What I can tell you of Klopp is that he is completely feast/famine to his tactics. He has the players now to fit his tactics, as he did with Dortmund in 2010-2012. He is very dependent on his "core" players being available and in form. As what happened to Dortmund in 13-14, could happen to Liverpool. As is, injuries to one or two players leads to a lack of team cohesion and the disruption of his press and overall gameplan. Liverpool do have a bigger budget, but I have yet to buy into the fact that Klopp is capable of getting backups that are capable of replacing his key players. He honestly reminds me of AVB quite a bit. If they start off slow or get injuries, he will be too stubborn to adapt, and it may all fall apart for him, again...

I just wonder where those people suddenly came from. It was sometime during this season we went from never seeing any African Football Experts to them completely taking over the entire internet. Did they get internet in those parts of Africa overnight?

isnt that kind of the point though. its not just the colour of the skin its the ease at which they can conjure a story?

It's not so simple as that. They'll usually bend facts further, spin harder and invest more work in "conjuring a story" when the subject is not a white straight male.

I see players of every race getting lambasted by the media that I view and listen to not constant black player bashing with no white player bashing. Everyone gets it. Theres no doubt theyve been after Alli lately but why that is I would hope isnt down to race.
Maybe I see it this way because when I view or listen to the media race just doesn't come into it for me, I just think they're on about player A because its about player A.
For you it is clearly at the forefront of anything you see so who is looking at this with clarity?
Truth is probably neither of us.
Sounds like your biggest problem is with the tabloids and as I said I don't read them so can't really comment either way.
I did wonder, literally just a few days ago, why TS don't have any black presenters, none Im aware of anyway. Christ knows why that popped in my head but it did.
Anyway, derailing thread here lol.

I admire your openness and views when you say you don't look at colour, ideally that's how it should be...but the reality unfortunately is far from it. The media has a lot to answer too in how they portray and enforce stereotypes of all races.

No, I apologise if I'm not being clear we are kind of going around in circles.

I believe there is a racist agenda in their 'reporting' (again loosest possible use) of Sterling, Alli etc. That doesn't mean that just because they may also carry out other sinister levels of coverage of non-black individuals that any racism is vitiated or proven to be false. You may believe otherwise, that's fine.

By their very nature, racist individuals or institutions are not very pleasant people in a holistic sense. I just don't buy the defence or rebuttal of "I am not racist. I beat up a black man but I've beaten up lots of men- black and white". Ok, well at least your an equal opportunities scumbag. It's not as simple as that for me.

So, any idea what our opponents fans are saying?? Plenty of love for Captain Kane no doubt...

just having a look on RAWK now...haven't got to the comments on Kane yet but saw this...

Be interesting to know how many Rawkites are actually supporting England. I want the Liverpool players to do well but I wont be cheering on a side managed by the charasmstic Southgate populated by players from Utd and Spurs. I shall be supporting Mo and his boys

They've had this 'Scouse Not English' thing going for a long time up there, think it stems back from Thatcher's time in power.
They are a fucking odd lot tbh.
