problem with Liverpool is they want it so so so bad, they are more likely to choke. I still think City will pip them to it.

Would love to believe we will be right up there with 3/4 games to go, but realistically i don't think so. BUT........i grew up watching Spurs that would more often than not lose points in the last 5-10 mins of the games. This team is different, so here's hoping and praying !

Klopp reacted to that? That seems more like at dig at Maguire than Liverpool :ROFLMAO:

It's a long running meme since the World Cup...Maguire loves it.

Just to add to that, Maguire scored the equaliser against Liverpool that saw them drop 2 points, that's why KW used this particular meme. He was just giving a nod to his international team mate whilst having a little bit of fun. Klopp is feeling the strain for sure!

You're not wrong, but I didn't think that needed pointing out, it's pretty obvious mate.

Exactly what I could have said about your post, but I decided it was informative for Steffen's benefit as he clearly had not appreciated the meme from the WC (as you pointed out )and I was just closing the circle so to speak. Apologies if it wasted 5 seconds of your time reading it.

I didn’t know that, so thanks for pointing it out, but I it’s a great meme anyway, and I love that Klopp reacted the way he did. Pressure.

Right back at you ... all I was doing was adding some contextual information for those who may not know (and by likes and comments a few have found this informative), not harming anyone, but you keep coming back with negative comments for some reason ... maybe you need to just take a chill pill and relax ;)

Looks like a Liverpool fan that has a bit of sense. Their fans should be worried, given that under Klopp they've got a track record of hitting slumps in the second half of the season. Just had a quick look at their previous results to make sure I wasn't exaggerating.

won 1 out of 6 in 17/18
won 1 out of 7 in 16/17
won 1 out of 6 in 15/16

Another similar drop in form this year and they're in big trouble. In a few weeks time, we'll hopefully have close to a fully fit squad with a lot of players having been given forced rest through injury, while Liverpool's key players, who have played almost every game this year, will start to feel the strain of Klopp's high intensity system and either drop form or pick up injuries.
I did a post in more detail about this a couple of weeks ago. In summary, previous seasons' Liverpool/Klopp teams have suffered from their weak defence. The attacking players had to press high relentlessly, or their defenders would get caught out and they would concede. The result was that the attacking players wore down late in the season and their results suffered.

Now they have a stellar defence, founded on Van Dijk, but also with improved coordination and teamwork. I would expect that this has taken a load off the attack force and that they should last better this season.

Hope not. But Klopp knows exactly what he has been doing, why and in what order.

They might not lose as many in these so called slumps but still might struggle to win, so perhaps a few draws.

They looked a touch jaded against Leicester, tonight is a very interesting game.

Another thing I noticed is that Liverpool have had favourable rest periods between games up until now.

However, the weekend they play United away on the Sunday at the end of this month they face Watford on the Wednesday straight after.

Watford play on the Friday evening so have two days more rest than Liverpool.

That's a very interesting period, and I think they'll drop points in there.

Similarly we'll have more rest than Chelsea that round of the game weeks as they'll have the Caraboa Cup final on the Sunday and we play Saturday lunchtime against Burnley.

I just hope in the international break we play clever (as the other top 6 clubs do) and pull our players to recover from minor injuries. Don't want any of our key players missing a chance for 10 days rest.

I'm not sure what to expect tonight, part of me feels confident because of the performances vs Palace and Leicester that West Ham can get a result but I think the pressure of the expectation at Anfield might be playing a role in the performances and they may fare better away from home.

I think anything other than a win for pool tonight and they are going to start doubting themselves. Klopp's reaction to Walker's tweet made him look under the kosh and another failure to take 3 points tonight will mean both us and City are within 4/5 points. Which at this time of the season is not much at all...

For me the game has a silver lining regardless of the result. If Liverpool win it means west ham lose, if west ham win it means Liverpool are less likely to win the league than they were before the game.
