Welcome to my life.
He said beating Newcastle shows they've, and I quote, 'turned the corner'.
I nearly pissed myself.

Its funny because there's 2 West Ham fans I work with on a regular basis, one's deluded and young, the other is older, bitter, and much more realistic....the older one told him to shut up and stop being embarrassing.

That sums up West Ham fans.

So not financial doping of clubs with Oil money and ownership of clubs by foreign dictators, oligarchs or countries with questionable human rights records, not the price of watching football live that has squeezed out many working class and young fans, not the crazy inflation of transfer fees and wages, not the continued cherry picking and stockpiling of the best players by the world's biggest clubs, not the influx of average foreign players blocking the way for home grown youth, not the fact that the same clubs seem to win all the silverware every single season....no the thing that really takes the biscuit...is that players celebrate too much when they win and that we fans criticise other clubs when they do it at our expense?

Well that’s not what I said at all. But aside from that... Another massive pet hate is being misrepresented but hey lets park that.

No issue with players celebrating at all. No idea where that’s come from. But the banter era of football, with your Joe Media memes and fans seemingly interested in belittling rivals rather than enjoying football, for me is up there yes. It’s a real ongoing problem I have with the game that will in all likelihood drive me away. People are absolute twats nowadays and I can’t be bothered with it.

Yeah the rest is bad too although I’d argue none of the oil money and only a few teams winning trophies would bother you at all if it happened to Spurs. It’s just jealousy that we’re not part of it. Whereas i’d still be annoyed at the twat culture so I win ?

(I’ll rephrase: one of the worst things... cool?)

Arse will be knackered after our game if manure are up for it they will win

Sounds like Man Utd’s injuries in defence are still bad. But like i have promised, I’ll put abaumayang back in my fantasy team to halt his run of goals.

Lol white English core
I don’t even know where to start, but maybe it’s worth this guy learning that of our six current England internationals, three are either black or mixed race, and that on last inspection Vorm, Aurier, Sanchez, Wanyama, Dembele, Sissoko, Lucas and Son aren’t exactly Caucasian.

Not much on Saintsweb about us tonight, although when they started to cheer up after a flurry of chances late on, one poster did note that

"Spurs are playing with the urgency of a drunk old woman waving a newspaper at a fly right now". Nothing to get excited about."

Which summed our tempo up quite nicely, I must say.

My favourite comment, though, came after Yoshida failed to convert the Ward-Prowse free-kick from short range

"At last, Yoshida clears one off the line. All we need to do now is coach him that we swap ends at half time and are kicking the other way."

:joyful:

A few comments about the low attendance tonight.

BTW, is it generally accepted that the banana skin thing was not racist, just something of a coincidence? If it is, then somebody should probably tell everyone else :).

They won’t listen, they’ll think it’s racist till the cows come home.

Whilst I believe the guy who said he just threw whatever was at hand and it was not racist it was still an unbelievably stupid thing to do and he deserves a ban. And I also believe every team in the country has at least one fan who is racist just based purely on maths and the fact society is far from perfect unfortunately.

I think he was probably talking about our fan base.
