To put this is perspective... if the dippers lost Salah, VvD, Firminho and Mane for a month or Spurs lost Kane, Ali, Eriksen and Song would they lose form....

This gets said a lot (especially regarding Kane), and yet we know from the previous 18 months that this generally doesn't hamper our results.

If we are on for the title at the end of the season it's a nailed on certainty that the complaints from other fans about our stadium situation will grow to a crescendo, bring it on.:)
Praying it goes to the last game so the paranoia around Everton rolling over hits peak saltiness

Teams we are yet to play us 'at home' could argue they've lost an edge having to play at NWHL when others didnt, but we've been beating everyone bar City and Liverpool at Wembley anyway.

No one looks at the situation and think we've had a very difficult 18 months and done brilliantly to cope with it. And now we have acclimatised that maybe it's a disadvantage that we have to now go to another stadium and settle.

Doesn't fit the conspiracy theory narrative.

From RAWK
Can someone explain why a load of papers have backpage headlines about Spurs being in the title race? They are the same number of points off he top as they were before this last round of fixtures, so they were already in it, or they still aren’t in it.

Fucking idiot headline writers.

This is how Spurs do title races, they stay just far back enough that nobody worries and then, at the last minute, they do nothing.

Well firstly there's him/her seeing that Spurs are now being declared part of the title race and from that assuming things like "[they think] we are an irrelevance" and "the person/people involved in these articles are either thinking or hoping we have no chance". That's a huge leap from a journo thinking Spurs are part of the title race to that journo thinking "we are irrelevant" or that journo "either thinking or hoping we have no chance". It reeks of paranoia and thinking that there's some sort of anti-Liverpool conspiracy behind the articles.

Then there's the lack of understanding of what a team in third place needs to do to improve their chances of winning the title. If Spurs are going to win the league they're going to have to do both of the following;

1) Reel in Liverpool
2) Reel in Man City.

Gaining ground on either of them (whilst also not losing ground to the other) will increase their (remote) chances of winning the title. They did that at the weekend.

Also, for right or for wrong, Man City are still the favourites to win the title (so says Betfair, Will Hill and Ladbrokes). The title isn't handed out in December and there's still half a season to play, so Spurs making 3pts on the favourites is why their title chances increased (however slightly) at the weekend. It's not because the media think "we are an irrelevance" or "think or hope we have no chance".

They're as much in the race as the lad who comes 3rd to Usain Bolt...

I think if we were 2 points off City and Tottenham were 6 points ahead we would think we were in with a chance. Especially with 12 or so of the last 20 at ‘home’. I wouldn’t discount them yet. But they need to essentially be perfect. They will certainly be looking at the Arsenal and City double header and their games and thinking there is a chance there to close the gap.

Beyond the bluster this is what it’s all about though. Looking at permutations for finishing fourth is shit, for the title I can be up all night looking at them

This gives “top four is our everything” a run for its money!

Any news on their stadium? Are these fuckers going to end up getting a boost at a crucial stage of the season from moving into a new home with a crowd that’s well up for their games?

Obviously it’s up to us ultimately, but there is a potential situation coming up that could, and should, have been avoided by the FA telling them to fuck off and stay at Wembley as long ago as October.

You know what, I really like Son. I think he's one of the most under-appreciated players in the league. Seems like a really decent guy, a bit like Ox, and he's as willing a worker as a prime Kuyt!

It would, obviously, never happen, but I'd absolutely love to see him in our side with Klopp coaching him. Don't even know where you'd fit him in, but he's one I'd always try to make room for. Only Spurs player I'd take.

Ticked all the Son boxes there! He’s been getting huge praise all season, and a lot of praise for a good 18 months now. And on here in particular, pretty much whenever he plays you see a lot of ‘he’s a Klopp player’!

Yep. Son’s entering Makelele territory now- when the whole world says you’re underrated you’re not actually underrated anymore.

They're playing with a midfield of Winks and Sissoko and their finishing is running hot as shit. Until the 5th goal they were on an xG of 1 today but had 4 goals scored. Whereas Bournemouth were clean through before Eriksen's first goal twice yet couldn't finish even one. It can't last. They have no way to control the game right now with that midfield.

These ****s cannot win the league, they must be stopped. I want to destroy them by them not winning it... we must stop them.

The scousers are worried deep down. That RAWK thread proves it. Having said that, without Slippy G now, they might win it.

Spurs deserve zero credits. They should already have been docked of 10-15 points for their stadium behavior this season.

I don't understand viewpoints like this. Why should we be docked points? For what reason? The only people who are losing out on this are ourselves, it doesn't affect the other 19 clubs in anyway shape or form.
I had a pool fan say this to me about 2 months ago. I asked him why and he said it was against the rules. Obviously he ignored the fact that the FA and premier league approved and agreed with our request.

It's just a weird thing to get annoyed by , it has in no way any chance of impacting another team other than spurs themselves as they don't want to remain at Wembley any longer now.

They also conveniently forget to mention that their bench cost 400m and ours cost next to nothing.

Good, that just means they're admitting that the last 18 months have been a fucking HINDERENCE, let's see them wriggle out of that one lol.

May have to delete SportBible and the likes.... Every single time there’s a post about Spurs, 98% of the comments are either ‘when’s the dvd coming out’? (after a good win), ‘can’t wait for them to put the pressure on’ or ‘they’ll bottle it because that’s all they ever do’.

Honestly it’s the same old shit every single time with one or two people talking sense. I wouldn’t mind if they said ‘I hate spurs, I hope they win fuck all’ but that’s so rare amongst the other shit mentioned above. It’s so boring to read and so utterly wrong too.

If we ever win the league all I’ll do is reply with the word ‘champions’ to any negative messages. Even if they’re correct. I’ll become the irritating **** that they all are now. Not amongst FB friends, just on those sites. I’ll be like those people still posting the Karius/Benzema meme 6 months after the final and on a completely unrelated thread about science or politics ?. I’ll make them hate Spurs even more than they ever did before. ****s.

You know how Arsenal don't care about us? How we're not their rivals? How they're too good to be compared with us?

I wouldn’t pay this guy any attention. If you read match threads on that site you’ll see him pop up regularly spewing utter bollocks. English is obviously his second language, which doesn’t help, but he is also a bit simple and/or a child. I sometimes wonder if he’s that guy on ATV who isn’t quite right.

I do. It doesn’t make it any less annoying to read though. It’s all anyone can come up with nowadays and hasn’t ever been true. That’s the annoying thing about it, if it was true it wouldn’t bother me.

I stand by what I said though. I will make it my goal to be 10 times more annoying than they ever were. I fear I won’t get the chance though....

Which one? That doesn't really narrow it down!

You get what you deserve for following that utter unoriginal dross account that just repost stolen content, let alone reading the comments of the mouthbreathers that put any value in the crap.

A good friend of mine is Leicester through-and-through and he still does this now. In fact, you can probably remove "negative" and it would still apply. Fair play to him I say - I will definitely be exactly the same when we win the league at some point in the next few seasons.
