What i find utterly staggering is that oppo fans are greatly underestimating/ignoring the fact that Ange has a full week of training and drilling our players into his methods and tactics. No euro midweek distractions, not travelling back from Dynamo CheekyGirls or whoever, and maximum recovery time for the next PL game. Thats a huge benefit.

This may be hard for Tottenham supporters to understand but almost all other fans are optimistic about their clubs. Give them the scent of victory and they'll dream about the champions league and the title.

Ask yourself, why were the Greeks culturally superior to the Romans? My feeling is that it has to do with the greek understanding of catastrophic collapse. Unlike the savages of the Italian peninsular, the hellenes were familiar with the great bronze age collapse. If you read plato you see that they understood not only how civilizations could crumble through wars and time but also from natural disasters.

Which other clubs have the perspective and experience we have? None. They are children. Disgusting, lice ridden children who resent us evem as they fail to understand us. However, one might almost envy their naivety.

Everyone is over-estimating their own team's ability at the moment. Most teams have signed a few exciting players and naturally they believe their fortunes are on the turn. They're not looking too deeply at the minutiae of their opponents. All other team's fans see with us right now is that we no longer have Harry Kane. They aren't really sure who Sarr is, don't know why Bissouma is a different prospect to last year, and think VDV has lead boots.

It's good though. The longer everyone else downplays us the more time we have to bed in.

Apart from the two London derbies in October that fall on the Monday then the Friday of the same week… I’m very confused about how that has happened!

West Ham fan saying Spurs are going to struggle for goals this season when we've scored four in two!
What makes the Arsenal fan think our youngsters are out of favour?
And what the hell has gone wrong with the world when Bournemouth fans say something like "Spurs are NOT a team we should in any way fear?"

we need to stick it up someone and make an example of them

People in general did the same to Chelsea ie underrated those reasons you stated above as it pertained to why they won the league and we finished 2nd whilst playing CL. Genuinely think if they’d had CL that year we would have won the league. It was the peak Poch team

Wasn’t that the year where we went out of the CL quite early? Maybe even group, we lost at home (which was Wembley for CL) to Monaco etc? Then dropped to Europa and went out first match in that too? Or am I mistaken?

We did but that’s still 8 games. Chelsea had no injuries that season either, we had loads

  • We'll still cut them to pieces I think.

Its clear that opposition refuse to engage us in open play. They want play us like Everton does when we go to Goodison Park, which is to constantly defend and look for counter attacking play.
What opposition fans want to forget, is that City are the only other team who went to Selhurst Park this year, and won 1-0. And City got a penalty later on and were down to 10 men as well. So good luck to any team who thinks they can do better than us there, this season.

This is just bizarre. We have battered Palace 0-4 at Selhurst park 'this year' :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Superb work.

and as one of the great minds of the 21st century put.

These fans think the dark is their ally? they merely adopted the darkness, us Spurs fans, we were born in it, moulded by it, i hadn't seen the light until i was already a man (child in the 90's)

And so they should. Who the hell goes into a new season saying "oh, I just want to be average."

I dont care if you're a Bournemouth fan, a West Ham fan or a spurs fan. If you don't go into the season wanting your team to win the league, why are you even a supporter?

This is the best part of the season for supporters, literally anything is possible.

Do I think we will win the league this year? No, of course not.

Do I desire with every fibre of my being to see us win the league this year? Hell Yeah!!!

I had the misfortune of sitting opposite a couple of grumpy United fans on the train to Enfield last week. One of them couldn’t believe how Ange had completely transformed us within 2 games and has given us a clear way of playing compared to ETH’s time at United. The other just sat there muttering and swearing.

Up the Cherries
  • Postecoglu used to ply his trade in Australian football.
If we can't beat these ****s, we need our heads read.
  • We will beat spurs on Saturday, a good benchmark team to play, a shame it’s not ten games in, when we are much more settled as a team but I’m still confident, they’re just the best of the rest
  • We are playing Spuds, not Man City. Or are you just making sweeping statements with no real substance? Spuds are in rebuild mode. They have lost Kane and LLoris and have a new manager. They are learning as they go, as are we. This is a great time to play them. Their 'quality' players like Son and Kulusevski are not in good form. The rest of the team looks pretty ordinary, to be fair. They are not the Spuds of even two years ago
  • was about to say that Bournemouth were playing very solid at the back, then Spurs opened them up
  • Good goal tbf but why no one is tracking Maddison is baffling
  • They seem to be able to stroll through our midfield
  • Watching TNT , All they talk about is Spuds. then go quite when we attack.
  • Spurs playing for time already...falling over all the time..we have got them worried ....................
  • Christ a spurs player only has to fall over to get a free kick.....
  • Spurs look much the better side
  • Commentators are going on like Spurs are Man City.....they are not that great imo......we could still get something out of this.
  • Good goal that
  • Just as I was gonna say we are looking better, that happens.
  • We've made Spurs look very good this half. We are playing as if we have 10 men
  • Well this is pretty awful!
  • I don't like f√cking losing at Home to f√cking Spurs.. do you ?

Arsenal Mania
  • the Ange cult has hit them harder and faster than his previous clubs. Two games in and they said the stadium atmosphere was better than anything since the game after they qualified for the CL final. It’s a little embarrassing tbf
  • Bournemouth win tomorrow would be so funny after all this.
2 trophies since the 1991/1992 season, that's still hilarious considering how their fans view their club
  • Tinpottenham usually struggle a bit at the Vitality.
  • hopefully Bornemouth can smash the Sp**s fckers
  • Bournemouth do not fear Sp**s, they know they can be got at defensively and are attacking their last line quite aggresively.
  • Madison face begging to be punched tbqh
  • Look at bissouma's hair ffs
  • This false image is hilarious. Sp**s are getting ripped apart against the first good team they face.
Im drooling over Ødegaard/Saka against their left side and Martinelli against their RB.
  • Sp**s look more like Newcastle to me, they want to be as direct as possible, most times
  • Ange would have the ****s with some of Sp**s passing. Once you get in thr final 3rd in particular, he expects the ball to go forward. He plays guys with 60% pass completion if they continually play forward.
  • Maddison score ffs
  • perfect ball by Sarr
  • This coach looks far better than Conte already I mean Sp**s are actually playing attacking football here, unbelievable stuff
  • Well he is not a dinosaur like Conte and Mourinho. Almost every pl manager is clear of those has beens
  • Maddison never in doubt.
2 assists and a goal in 3 games
  • Maddison is class to be fair. Bargain at that price
  • Bissouma actually looks like a 100m+ CM unlike all the current ones (rice excluded)
  • Maddison scores against a very wide open and poor Bournemouth defense and he's suddenly the bees knees? Do me a favour
  • he’s had a great start to the season, really impressive against man u
  • He’s been doing the business for years, people in here have liked him for ages. He’s just continuing that form
  • This could be a cricket score. Bornemouth are shocking
Shocking? Are you watching the same game here?
This game is chaos bro, chances on both sides so far.
Sp**s are in trouble everytime their first line of pressure is breached.
  • Sp**s playing better under Ange. They seem more entertaining than under Conte, not that it takes much...
  • Sp**s would be 3 up if they could finish
  • So would Bournemouth actually
  • Lol i would like to see the xg - u calling corners, big chances for bournemouth. Sp**s should be clear in this game.
  • Sp**s are work in progress, they’ll most likely look a fun mess this season.
I won’t judge Ange till next season. This season is for judging Ten Hag
  • They look better and credit to Ange for implementing his style so quickly.
But their football is too chaotic, they look like Newcastle when they were starting under Eddie Howe. They'll need more defensive solidity to become a really solid team I'd say, and that's what I think this season is for.
  • Maddison running the show offensively
  • Maddison with those channel through balls has been excellent this half, great value for 40m.
Dropping into the first phase to assist with build up as well, good to see.
  • Bloody hell Maddison is running the midfield
  • Sp**s take a lot of risks in midfield and when they lose it they're wide open. They could get walloped by the batter teams.
  • Bournemouth look superior team on the field but Sp**s have quality players who can hurt them on the counter.
  • Sp**s can't defend
  • FFS how did they allow Udogie to get the ball for the cross?
  • Sp**s are ****e, they are going to get destroyed playing like this against better sides.
  • Like utd? They will get destroyed against City and Newcastle away. Also poool
  • You'd think they were playing Allardyce or Pulis football (under Conte) the way they have been going on about Sp**s these first few weeks of the season
  • might be enough to get them top 5 -6 possibly. Sp**s will beat most of the lower league sides playing this way
  • "We've got our Tottenham back"
..a average team beating a worse team, playing relatively attacking football that will still end up with the same amount of silverware these 2 decades as Luton Town.
You really do have your team back lads, enjoy it
