Whilst that's true, this year the EPL clubs have done quite a bit better than the Italian clubs. Consequently we have averted the risk of being overtaken by them, at least for the moment, although I haven't tried to find the actual numbers yet!

As I understand it, the winners of leagues and the EL cup the previous year go into pot 1, the remainder get allocated by their co-efficient, meaning that we are likely to be in pot 3, although with a lot of luck and a following wind we might scrape into pot 2.
