Here's some from Toffee Talk:

This is a very important match. Spurs is one of our direct competitors for the 4th or 5th place. Getting 3 points (or a minimum of 1) is vital.

Can see this easily as very tight or wide open, first 15 minutes might well tell the story. We've not kept a clean sheet in a long while, and despite Spurs effectiveness in front of goal, but with Bale missing I can just about see us keeping them quiet. Not sure they have an answer for Fellaini, and if we're able to add a fit and willing Mirallas then I think we'll be comfortable. The first few minutes of each half has proven difficult for us of late, if we avoid self destruction I can see the tide well and truly turning here.

2-0

I seriously think we will be up for this game and can see us come out the blocks. Bale is out and i dont think they are owt special to be honest. Can see us getting an early goal and finishing up 3-0 Baines, Jelly 2

They have a Europa game midweek and their squad isn't what it used to be. Should be a comfortable win, hopefully it is. 3-0, 3 points long over due as is a clean sheet and a couple of goals for Jelavic.

I do think Spurs are a bit 'soft' though... It was the same with AVB's Chelsea. They have great attacking flair (if you let them play) but they arent the strongest defensively and if they dont try and play Felli out of the game then Im sure he will run riot.

Its one of those that I really think we can win. They are a good team but they are no better than us. None of their midfielders are particularly special, and even Bale is over rated IMO. Dont get me wrong, he is a quality player but people saying he should be at Barca & R Madrid etc etc are talking out of their arse. He is certainly a top Premiership player though, but he can be stopped as Neville showed last season.

Defoe is a big threat because he is a really good finisher as he only needs one chance, and on the balance of our games this season he will get at least one.

This match has me worried. They have been playing well lately and have a lot of attacking players in their squad. We have been letting silly goals past us and i can deffo see Spurs going 1 up early on. Hopefully Everton can claw it back and go into the half time break with a 2-1 lead.

Come out to second half and hold on for dear life.

Everton win 2-1

Dembele, Fellaini and Gibson

What I dislike about Everton is that the fans lives are so dreary that they scream in unison for every decision ,even stuff as minor as a throw in will bring the stadium to its feet in fury .

After a while I reckon the ref caves in to this kind of pressure...says to himself , 'oh well if 20,000 people saw a handball there must've been something'....PEN

Its naff behaviour...but effective.

fuck me I've read it all now, take a look at this little gem :)

If we can keep a lid on Dembele we'll win this - he makes them tick. Like their version of Darron Gibson, but with a boss-sounding name.

Get into them Everton.

Not a bad analysis, but one would have to say a somewhat flawed player comparison.

Wow Everton are really confident. Over confident tbh. Still that's just the fans but if that creeps into the players we'll be sweet.

Basically Andy Gray said this one right on talksport, if we go there and win then the league needs to sit up and take note because things are starting to click.

I actually think Defoe is much more important to us than Bale atm anyway. The form he is in, you'd have to be mad to bet against him scoring in any game. He is one of those strikers that doesn't need to be in a game to decide it. Everton could plug the central areas as they always do and do a great job of making it hard to create but JD just needs half a sniff in the mood he's in right now.

The comment about nonof our midfield being anything special is abit harsh. Okay, we might not be the most pleasing on the eyes this year but Moussa and #SandroBeast are special when they're on song together; and Azza hasn't been to shabby either last couple. JD could score in any game at the moment and Lloris is making us abit more steady at the back. Just got to hope one of the back four don't have a mare.
