I am trying to work out if I am being completely biased, or if the majority of Everton fans are completely deluded.

I genuinely and objectively, cannot think of an Everton player that gets into our first 11, aside from possibly Baines and I think that's a close run contest with Ekotto!

I rate Adebayor and Defoe more highly than Jelovic and Fellani, and obviously one of their best players - Pieneer, couldn't get near a starting spot, causing him to return cap in hand.

Don't get me wrong, it's a tough game largely due to their physical direct style, but why in the name of captain birdseye's beard are they so bloody confident.

I mean even on the physicality front, we are a different proposition to last year with 9 of usual starting 11, 6ft or over. In fact, I would say a core of Sandro, Dembele and Adebayor are physically superior to anything Everton can field. I also think that Dawson (if available), Caulker and Vertonghen (shame Kaboul isnt around) should compete in the air with Fellani.

3-0? 3 bastard 0. Oh, do come on and fuck off! We have scored against United, City and Arsenal away, aswell as Chelsea home. Ludicrous.

Properly up for this game now. I hope we annihilate them.

--------------------Lloris-----------------------

Walker---Dawson---Caulker---Vertonghen

-------------Sandro-------Dembele---------

Lennon---------- Adebayor----------Dempsey

----------------------Defoe----------------------

I mean this is our team without: Bale, Kaboul, Ekotto and Scott Parker, and after losing Modric and VDV. I also know who is more likely to sign players/not sell players in January. Everton top 4? Pah.

1-3

Defoe 18
Dempsey 65
Fellani 71
Dembele 78

Baines and Fellaini would get in our team. Doesn't matter though, football is a team game.

Everton have had the continuity that we have been crying out for. They are a well drilled team and their midfield is protecting their defence well as well as creating chances for Fellaini and Jelavic.

Doesn't matter if Pienaar is deemed good enough for us. He's been more effective for Everton this season than most of our midfielders have been for us.

We dont have a left winger, so their left winger would get in to our team at the moment and Pienaar and Mirallas have been stand out players in the premier league and have performed better than Dempsey despite the good form

How would you fit Fellani into our team - who would you drop? I don't think he fits our/AVB's style of play at all.

Do we need a left winger, especially as it seems to be any old left winger?

We have Dempsey, who has assisted/scored in the last four games. He is playing in his favoured position, where he scored 23 goals last season, in, with respect, a poorer side.

AVB preferred formation in fact fits a Dempsey style forward on the left, rather than 2 out and out wingers.

Fellaini has been playing superbly this season behind the front-man. He might not suit our style but several of our players don't.

Fellaini in front of Dembele and Sandro would be a very mean midfield three.

I see what your saying, but I think his form relates to the way they play balls up to him (see United game).

Personally, I would hate us to play like that and would be suprised if he ended up with the same amount of goals and assists as Adebayor last season, and in fact wouldn't mind betting Adebayor overtakes him this season despite his head start, providing he gets a run in the team.

I agree but as our squad stands and if Fellaini was in it he would play.

It would certainly be interesting to see him alongside Sandro and Dembele in a deeper role. I don't think the opposition would get near the ball, leaving Bale, Adebayor(Defoe) and Lennon the freedom to run riot.

A compelling blend of raw power in the centre and electric pace on the wings; add Kaboul, Vertonghen and Caulker in at the back and we would scare anyone on our day!

Maybe cheeky bids for Fellani and Hulk (AVB could turn him around again) in January:

--------------------Lloris-----------------------

Walker---Kaboul---Caulker---Vertonghen

------------------ Sandro-----------------------

------------Dembele---Fellani-----------------

Hulk----------------------------------------Bale

-------------------Adebayor------------------

Not a single player under 6ft, all physically powerful, decent pace and comfortable on the ball; a great chance in any game, whether it's Stoke away or Arsenal at home.

I've seen people predict scorelines before, even goalscorers, but goal times?? If you bet a tenner on that and it comes in you could probably retire on the winnings.

Ha! Bit of fun, but if it happens now...actually, maybe I will put a few quid on it just in case.

I wouldn't call a combined 60mil+ a "cheeky bid"...

Pretty interesting they are so confident. I know we haven't been at the top of our game yet, but I would expect them to at least show some respect for an opponent who currently sits above them in the table. Oh well, I hope we kick their asses.

These threads are entertaining and sometimes informative. But we concentrate on a few extreme views of biased fans and assume alll fans are like that. Other clubs could make the equivalent thread about fans on this site.

Everton are a good team. I would be content with a point. We have no Bale and just played a near first team on Thursday night.

Neither would I but then, I didn't say anything about bidding "£60 m", did I? You did.

Hulk wants to leave already and is causing problems. He may push for a move to be reunited with AVB - hence the "cheeky bid".

Everton need the cash - shame we didn't use Pieneer as a carrot to get Fellani in the summer.

Anyway, pretty unrealistic and not necessarily what we need, just a hypothetical based upon someone else's comments regarding Fellani in a 3 man midfield with Dembele and Sandro.

Mountinho is far more what we need.

Anyway, back to the polarised views of the blue scousers.

I thought Fellaini should be suspended for this game? He got his fifth yellow of the season against Shitty. Suarez got his fifth yellow of the season against Southampton and is suspended for Spam.

IMO he has more effect on a game than say Huddlestone, Livermore, Dempsey and Sign (Spelling). He wasnt given the chance by Harry, the same chances that Dempsey and Huddlestone are enjoying at the moment. I was sorry to he him go and thought if he had stayed this season it would have been a different story under a new management.

Plus Everton play well as a team, first to the ball, running into space and making themselves available, defend as a unit, things that we have been found wanting this season I'm afraid.

They have every right to feel confident as they have had a very good start to the season! They rarely do so if I were them knowing they always come strong in the second half of the season I would be pretty confident as well.

I think this will be a good match up, two teams playing well and we are not as soft as they think we are, I think that may surprise them come Sunday. I can't see anyone running away with this game, in fact I can see a draw.
