At one stage I had to admit I liked watching Spurs play under saggy chops! I just feel, they may need a different approach, but they have the very attractive football of arsenal on their doorstep!
Possibly, though Sherwood was always deadman walking and Harry's style of attacking football, built on individuals, is very different from MP's more disciplined and team-based approach.

Would love them to go for FDB - Spurs fans are a few chav chromosomes removed from Chelsea fans and flock to anything new and flashy. The main reason they've failed -from managers to players- is lack of prem experience -something which makes MP an intriguing choice. But if they want to take the same risks as in the past, happy for them to fill their boots.

a few chav chromosomes removed from Chelsea fans........that's below the belt
Specially if you've ever been to Southampton...!

OK, I used to love this thread but this past season has seen it fade a little (unsurprisingly) so after the joy of Ledleys game last night and the goings on today I thought I'd update it on what other folks think about Timmy being on his way

Red Café:

Spurs seem to have a manager every season. Sherwoods done well at Spurs, I swear to feck Levy is the real issue at Tottenham, he's holding the club back imo.

Maybe that's where we've been going wrong?

Haha - seriously though, apart from Bale who've we nicked in recent years? Am I forgetting someone?
Did Redknapp come from them? Or was it Portsmouth? He swapped between the 2 so much I forget now!

The last two players from Saints were Dean Richards (2001) and Neil Ruddock (1992), so they are talking about
ancient historical transfers.

Quick update from a club source, No MP has not gone for an interview with Spurs, and both bids were rejected. That's all I can reveal at the moment, but I will say things are looking up.

We'd react in a similar fashion but I still enjoyed reading this
They poached Hoddle and now Pochettino. Spuds ARE MY NUMBER 1 hated club. Hope they get relegated and go bankrupt !
Well I hope he's sacked by Christmas. Hope he fails magnificently! No time for the Argie Tw*t!
He can go **** himself as far as I'm concerned. Just another one passing through. Just hope that the board reject any approaches he makes to get our players but don't have a lot of confidence they will have the balls to do so. He needs players to implement his style and it is only natural he will be after some of those important players in our ranks. They had better not let any of our young players follow him to spuds. Funny that the two players shown next to that twitter statement will probably be the next two out the door. But, of the seven clubs finishing above us this season, I would count Spurs as the one least likely to win anything over the coming years so it is not much of a step up. Let's see him trying to get Emmanuel Adebayor and the like to press the opposition throughout 90 minutes. I'll take next March in the sacking sweepstakes.
We are in serious sh*t with this clueless bell-end at the helm.
I couldnt give a f**k about Mopo. He'll be unemployed by New Year anyway, his professional reputation again in tatters after the Espanyol debacle. F**k him.

I'll put a large bet on Spurs being top of the league by Christmas
****ing Argie c*nt, will be sacked before this time next year.

I'm full of schadenfreude at the mo
While I would like to thank him for his work with the team, his lack of loyalty is a very poor example of humanity.
I have an unhealthy dislike for Spurs
F**k him.
Couldn't care less. Never wanted to be here, used us as a stepping stone and made no effort to try and 'connect' with us at all. He can get f*cked as far as I'm concerned.
Gutted. Wish him well.

Time for our board to grow a pair or get the **** out.

How long before we get a "We had a dream for the club blah blah, we now look for the bestest manager blah blah" statement.

Totally useless. Freddy Kruger can do one

Can we start calling him Pinnochio again now?
Erm why have we accepted his resignation? If they want him we should have got compensation. Yet another amateurish decision from the new directors.
Very disloyal. Hope he fails.
C'est la vie.

can you blame him, with Levy's hair trigger it's easier than winning the lottery having a contract with Spurs.

Well, that went down well
