It is those 2 things but also because of Lennon being out. It has forced to play in a completely different way and meant that we have had to work much harder than normal I think.

I can't wait until he returns.

Yup, he was going great guns before the injury

I hope these constant niggles don't interrupt his progress as he's really developing as a footballer.

Getting him back will be massive

Anyone have any update on what the 'others' are saying?

Sorry mate, I've been working 12 hours the last few days and am really too tired to do so when I get back  I'll do a full round up on the fans of Arsenal, Chlelsea, City, United and Liverpool on Saturday (my day off). I did have a quick look around after our game against WBA but a lot of the talk amongst the boards was about the City - Pool game so thought I'd wait a little bit.

Thanks to the others who have posted stuff though :hello::hello:

Funny if we draw them in the CL next year.

Spurs have spent huge amounts over the past few years and you could argue they under-achieved if you look at what they spent on Gomez, Bassong, Pavlyuchenko, Palacios and Bentley. Afew moves have worked out great for them in Bale, Modric and VDV but I wouldnt worry about them long term. Also, I dont think they'll get another favour from City next season.

They could go 9 point clear of us if they win their game in hand. HOW THE **** DID THIS HAPPEN?

They have bought better players than the one's they already had and didn't sell their best one's.

Unlike another certain team in North London
:violin:

Buying good players, forming a well-balanced side, bit of luck with injuries, throwing every other competition in pursuit of 4th = Spurs doing well.

I have said a few times now that I believe this 'success' will be short-lived however. This is a golden period for them and they are still gonna do **** all at the end of it, finish 3rd, win no cups, knocked out of the CL next season and drop out of the Top 4. That's my prediction anyway.
:duh:

To be fair to Spuds, Walker, Modric, Bale and Sandro are all relatively young.

Considering that their two best players are in that list, they won't exactly be in crisis in come a couple of years.

If they lost Modric, I'd be a hell of a lot more confident in them fading away in the very near future.

We'll see about Modric - Chelsea may well get their man soon.
:bang:

Agreed. Modric should really start fluttering his eyelashes and showing a bit of leg to Man City, though, if he wants a REALLY big payday.
:)

I hope that Bale and Modric are off soon and that City sell Ade to PSG or whatever. Can't stand them.
:bs:

I can't believe how few injuries they have had this season.
Nearly all their most influential players have had no injuries and yet we have had loads to our best players.

I don't know about signing players, I think we should sign their physio staff
:shake:

They are what I thought they were going to be, mostly deluded.:rofl:

I don't care.
I don't think about them much anymore.
Our real rivals are now Citeh and United.
Theirs are Villa, Everton and Newcastle.

Great comments - jealousy in full flow

Modric is a fantastic player, we've made the statement of keeping him and are reaping the benefits...however, when he's sold it will be on our terms and he isn't irreplaceable in absolutely every sense.

The one man they should be fucking worried about? Dan, the man, Levy.

Obviously Harry has done exceptionally well but don't think Levy won't be a hell of a lot wiser when it comes to replacing him as well. He'll have a better handle on what qualities to look out for.

Levy is ultimately the biggest single reason for our upward trajectory in recent times. The gap has been closing for a while and with the appointment of Harry coupled with Levy's vision and input....its all been coming to fruition.

New Stadium and those wankers will never have the bragging rights to that extreme again.

For Feck sake they're in our wake now

Yep, Levy's vision has taken us this far. If we lose a few top players in the next few years then it will be for big money and he'll make sure we replace them and then some. I know it seems impossible at the moment to think about life without Bale and Modric but as long as we don't sell them at the same time then we'll be able to bring other players into the team just fine.

My hope is that we keep this squad together in the way that Man Utd kept their squad together in the 90's and keep building on it. I'm sure that's what Levy has been aiming for all along, he was always in this for the long run.

One day I'll take my future kids to see his statue outside the new White Hart Lane and tell them about the man who rebuilt our great club from the ground up!

From RAWK

"There's so much bitterness about Spurs on this forum it's ridiculous.

Redknapp has done a great job there. They play fantastic football and they're within touching distance of City and Utd without having spent anywhere near as much (as City) or having the experience of chasing titles (like Utd).

I remember when Spurs were starting their Champions League campaign and there were posters on here who couldn't wait to lol when they didn't even qualify. And then they did. Then there were posters who couldn't believe their luck when they saw the group Spurs were in and couldn't wait to lol when they couldn't get out of it. And then they did. Then they drew Milan and loads of people got their lolhats on for when Spurs would be tactically outclassed and shown up by a side with real European pedigree. But Spurs knocked them out. They only fell down when they came up against Real (who'd spent millions on their squad) and there's really no shame in that. Especially for a team in their first Champions League outing.

If there was an equivalent to Spurs in the Italian or Spanish leagues who played football like they do and were up there challenging the real powerhouses of the league then everyone would be saluting them.

Regardless of his media whoring and newspaper columns, Redknapp hasn't ever had a crack at a big club prior to Spurs and he is doing a brilliant job with them."

cant believe one of them lot actually wrote that or was it one of you in disguise ;)

My favourite bit of all, the twat has basically described Arsenal, except they usually only get 4th.

He's also the man that threatened to destroy the club, but as long as it's all looking good now.
