This thread is superb. The ArseMania ones are just brilliant. They are truly livid.

Yes but City have more than enough strength in depth... Plus you Re assuming we will be at full strength! Assuming we are in touching distance come then, it will be a titanic clash and I hope one where we can compete much more evenly than our Home game.

Beating M UTD is just as key.

I still think UTD are City's biggest threat, never right them off, but it's nice to be considered in the mix.

We have 2 home games and they have 1 away game before then, of course we will

Yeah, but you are assuming Citeh have more than enough strength in depth...it hasn't really been put to the test, yet, so maybe that won't prove to be quite the given you are making it.

I agree, though I believe their strength in depth is better than ours.

It has been a fascinating watch the prem this season and with a bit of luck city will drop a few more points and the run in can prove even more interesting!

Manchester United have a massive task now against Newcastle, it just depends if the barcodes have the belief.

As for other fans forums, I try to stay objective... The season is far from run and whilst we should all enjoy the ride, it would be wrong to get too high and mighty just yet!! After all... For many seasons we have been mid table obscurity whilst our current rivals (city aside) have won plenty of silverware.

A few consistent seasons of this and some silverware and we can start to sing our own praises a little... Nothing wrong with a bit of good banter though!

Is all good mate :)

It can be great fun to read after we've won, will make your blood boil reading some of the stuff after we've dropped points though

Yep it makes me mad as well, but I never realised so many fans of other teams were so clueless.

I'm looking forward to getting the Everton game out of the way. At least then we'll know what we're getting from our game in hand. It has been too easy to imagine those three points in the bag.

If (and I stress IF because apart from Norwich we haven't been anywhere near our best in our last 4 or 5 games) we beat Everton and Wolves, we will be level on points with Man City when they go to Wigan for Monday Night Football.

Under normal circumstances I wouldn't expect anything other than a convincing Man City win, but if they go into that game level-pegging with ourselves and maybe even trailing Manure, the pressure will be on them in a big way.

Everton game is huge, we need to rest up get some key players back and make a hell of an atmosphere at the Lane next Wednesday.

Sunderland just beat Wigan 4-1 at their ground

True - but Wigan also held Chelsea and Liverpool.

I don't for one minute believe that City wouldn't still beat Wigan if we're level with them going into that game, but my point was simply that a game like that becomes more pressured and more of a banana-skin if you've just seen a 6 point gap over a rival evaporate in 5 days than if you're still out in front.

Some interesting views on the Man Shitty board... they really do see us as competitors, however, they seem to think that we will soon burn out.

In fairness we look exhausted and we're picking up injuries. Lets hope it's just related to the nasty festive period and we pick up again soon

It is those 2 things but also because of Lennon being out. It has forced to play in a completely different way and meant that we have had to work much harder than normal I think.

I can't wait until he returns.
