Whether he does or not he doesn't show it, that's what matters. He never shows any bias which is how it should be if a pundit is doing his job properly.

Agree......he is my favourite pundit and will be England manager one day.....and a good one at that.

England manager would be good indeed. He's halfway there, assisting Hodgson currently, I would like to see him as manager before the world cup.

Actually it may not be the case that he hates Liverpool, in general there isn't the same "hatred" between the players that there is between fans. Many players from rival teams socialize together and in the old days would be in the pub together after a match.

Don't know about now, but I definitely remember him saying when he was a played for Engladn the Man U players would sit at one table and Liverpool at the other and they wouldn't socialise with each other as they didn't like each other. Same as in the tunnel before matches.

Will be interesting to how he managers, hope he doesn't just become the 2nd Hodgson being under him. Hope he becomes a top manager

I get all that...... but I do hate a lot of clubs. Liverpool, the red scum, the blue scum. I hate others but not as much, teams like Saints and WHU I couldnt give them my full dose of hatred like the others as they mean very little in the grand scheme of football.

I dont think killing is very nice, but I firmly believe a punch to the face is needed for a few rival fans is it not ? It doesnt have to be followed up with anything, just a quick one to the jaw.

I punched a gooner in the face, a few weeks back.
It wasn't because he was a gooner but that was an added bonus that made it even more of a moment to remember.

I'd like to add that it was just one punch and it was more than truly deserved.

Gary Neville is by far the best pundit in football, he's head and shoulders above the rest. He's always fair, objective and accurate. He sees things that most others don't see. World class.

Hm, didn't know a pundit could be considered world class but fair play.

I really don't get all this "hate". I am a FOOTBALL fan, spurs are my favourite team but no club is bigger than football itself. Football clubs are there because of football, not the other way round as a lot of fans seem to think. I regularly watch other teams, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Swansea, Leicester, Bournemouth because they play some good football. When I first started going to live matches at the tender age of 13 (in 1953), there was no crowd segregation, both team's fans all mixed in together. There was banter of course but rarely did it come to anything more than harmless banter. I can imagine now if fans were mixed at a spurs-Arsenal game there would be stabbings and all sorts. It's ridiculous. Back in the day, if spurs were playing away I would go to one of the other London clubs playing at home, it could be Arsenal, Chelsea, Charlton (first division team in those days), Fulham or whoever. I wasn't the only one, thousands of FOOTBALL fans did the same. Most modern fans wouldn't dream of going to another club's ground to watch FOOTBALL. They are not real FOOTBALL fans. I didn't and still don't "hate" any other team although I am pleased if/when we beat them. They are just another football team and beating up, stabbing and even killing another Human being for no better reason than he supports a different football team, I find so appalling and barbaric from a supposedly "civilized" race that it beggars belief.[/QUO

Agree with your last few sentences obviously and although I understand where you're coming from regarding the rest I'm not sure I agree.

I love the rivalry and the detesting of some other Clubs can fuel the passion to make some unbelievable atmospheres.

Don't get me wrong I'll always Love Spurs much more than I'll hate any other Club, but IMHO having strong feelings of dislike towards other Clubs makes the winning all the sweeter a lot of the time.

I'm a Spurs fan and love the Club. I really don't give a toss about other Clubs but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate good football from any other Club when I see it, of course I can, but in the grand scheme of things Spurs are my only real concern at the end of the day.

So if that doesn't make me a football fan, well there you go. I'm happy to be just labelled a Spurs fan.

I'd patronisingly downplay everything whilst warmly acknowledging the quaint 'success' of our underlings.
Like your style. I'd try to do that later, realising it's the better and more satisfyingly smug approach but will have ruined the opportunity by being "that guy" initially.

I've got just a little too much hate in me for my own good. *sigh* :(

You kidding me? I'd have cards printed up!

I AM A SUPERIOR BEING!

i'd be permanently pissed, and due to meds i'm not aloud to really drink. I loved the early 80's even though we never won the league, but every night I go to sleep I prey 1 day that we will become a dominant team. unfortunately I would have to ram it down the throats of friends that support Arscum, Chelscum, Wet Spam, and Manure. luckily for me I've been able to avoid Liverpool supporters as friends
