It was refreshing to hear big nose Tommo on Gilette Soccer Saturday saying we were outstanding even when pressed if it was Norwich being bad he still said we were excellent.

Well, after enough performances of teams "not showing up" against us, the pundits (using that term loosely) will realize the common denominator is our side's domination.

Absolutely. It is easy as a fan to look at a game and solely see your own teams failings rather than what the other team did well. If we get fans/pundits saying these sort of things after each game then we are getting that side of the game right.

Why, in the name of God, would an American fan, new to the sport, choose to support Norwich City Football Club?!?!?!?!

Probably also a Packers (NFL team) fan, associates with the green and yellow colour scheme. I think it's good he's not glory supporting.

But these domestic Norwich fans are fucking idiots. They need to get relegated and put in their place. Swansea are twice the side Norwich are and were graceful in defeat to us, accepting it as a formality yet these twats think suddenly think they're the new Everton of the league.

'To be honest we handed Spurs 3 points on a plate. They maybe a so called top 4 team but we were crap. If we played at our best we would of won that game. Spurs were not that great, we were just awful. Im glad we were not playing a top team we would of got hammered. Cant believe it was only 2-0.'

The fucking delusion

17 shots to their 1
70% possession

Some comments from Pink un.

Absolute nonsense. He didn't TRY to defend. We simply had no choice against what turned out to be a better team on top form. If you are unable to hold up the ball in your opponents half your attacking play will be severely restricted and that's what happened today. The holding midfielders seldom had time or space to initiate an attack. because they were forced back on top of their defence. In England we call it being outplayed.

Spurs have spent well this past summer, the score line could of been worst. Many fans are posting, calling CanaryWhinge as though we deserve a win.

In my opinion, this Spurs team is far superior to many we've played the past few seasons away.
We got bossed, we lost midfield but still didn't roll over. The officials biased in parts but you expect that against a top 6 side at home.

I'm not losing any sleep over this result where a few will be wanting heads to roll. Why?

Next week should be far better but against that Spurs team today, 1 point would have been flattering.

...We were outclassed in all areas ....

That is why we lost.

Different tactics, different team, more effort, more heart etc etc. total bull****!

None of it makes any difference when you are comprehensively outplayed by what is patently are much better team.

So they didn't turn up, just like Swansea didn't a few weeks ago? We bossed that game and bossed this one. The difference being Eriksen and his creativity somehow shone on others too.

Some 'pundits' and 'fans' really astound me with their views on how matches go.

Although originally I wasn't that keen about Eriksen, I've changed my mind today. Just wish we had bought him before the season started. Had he played last week, we may now have a 100% record.

Can someone go check a Chelsea forum for me :joyful: (this is a work laptop - don't want that in my history)

I've just been snooping and they're being pretty reasonable - know they didn't take their chances and not really complaining. Bit of griping about the subs though.

This person:

fairly predictable ... undone by our complete lack of penetration up front, once again ... bringing torres on is never gonna be the answer ... the only potential striker we have who may be able to shake things up is in the everton stands, loaned out ... dear oh dear!

has hit on what I think is going to be Chelsea's problem this year - no top class striker! What if Eto'o flops?

ETA: And this one too:

Crap performance, I've a real worry we've now a squad of players who couldn't hit a barn door.

Gotta love how every Chelsea foul was a yellow despite constant fouling by Everton (did they even get any bookings)?

Why Mourinho didn't want to keep Lukaku I will never know. I honestly think he is the top, young striker they need.

Agree with this, Lukaku is an immense talent and is clearly ready to be Chelsea's number 1 striker, can only think Mourinho and him have a clash of personalities or something because it cant be because he doesn't rate him.

A couple more:

I can’t stand André Villas-Boas, but he made us look like mugs today, I just hope it isn’t going to become a president. Were so easy to suss out. We sit so deep that a lot of the time our only out ball is Ruddy, at one point today he was being closed down by two Spurs players which in turn lead to long balls giving away possession and inviting wave after wave of attack.
It doesn’t matter how much money they’ve spent what they did first and foremost was out work us.

We were second to all balls, could not cope with either their technical ability and movement on the ball or their pressing game off it.
